I have been trying to figure out POS mechanics and have read everything I could find so far. Today I decided to try and set up one on the test server but ran into a problem: I can bring everything I need to launch the tower - all the structures, armaments and plenty of fuel -- but I can't transfer fuel to the newly-anchored CT from the cargo hold of my freighter!
So am I supposed to anchor the thing, fly away, and come back with fuel in bits and pieces? Even with maxed hauler skills and all T2 expanders, my alt needed five trips to bring back the ten days' worth of fuel I bought for the test.

Once the tower is online you can fuel it from the freighter.

Yep - just bring an industrial with you in the freighter, and use it to anchor the tower and put in an hour's worth of fuel so you can online it. After that, the freighter can deploy & scoop modules near the tower. There are still the usual restrictions regarding containers, though, and you can't actually jettison stuff.

But the tower is too big for an industrial, right? So I fly the freighter to the spot, launch the tower, then leave and come back with a hauler?

A large tower is only 8k m3 ... and you must use an industrial/transport ship not a freighter to launch the POS to begin with

Agree with that guy, he knows whats up. Also 5 trips seems to much for 10 days worth of fuel. One trip alone for my hauler is about 6 days But i use faction large towers.

A tower is only 8,000m3 for a large, a modest hauler can fit an hours fuel and that in it (you don't even need LO/heavy water to online it).
A freighter can perform all normal cargo operations within 45km of an online tower.
