OK this is just weird. I installed the Linux client and EVE plays flawlessly at 1024 X 768 or 1440 X 900. I can play the game for hours and then log off with no issues. I alway log off EVE at 1024 X 768 as I've never seen 1440 X 900 as an option in Display and Graphics. But the next time I log in, the game may or may not load properly. With the resolution at 1024 X 768 on my computer and the EVE Online Config setting" Run in Windows" set to NO", the splash screen comes up normally and after it disappears the login screen doesn't appear. The login music plays but no screen. I have to manually end the process as Ctr Q has no effect. If I open the EVE Online Config and set the Window resolution size 1024 X 768, the one my computer is set at, the splash screen appears and then two screens that remain black appear. One is labeled "C:ProgramFiles\CCP|EVE\bin|Exefile.exe" and the other labeled "C:ProgramFiles\CCP|EVE\bin|ExeFile.exe" \Nosplash\Noconsole. The login music plays. Choosing any other size and the login screen and the game screen is either to large or to small. Also the Display and Graphic menu is blank on these over and undersized screens. All other menus work fine.
I have a GeForce 7600 GT 512 and have tried several drivers installed using EnvyNG. The fist time this happened I had to reinstall the Eve client to get it to work, the second time I simply down-graded the Video driver. This time the driver install did not work.
I really do not wish to reinstall the game every day. Can any one help?

Well I have a work around. Cruising the forums, one post mentioned clearing the cache to see if that helped. Well it didn't. So I looked in the Setting Folder right next door to the Cache folder and saw a DAT file called PC. Hmmmm. I tried to open it and of course it would not, so I searched DAT in the forums. So the forums say it's a no no to try to mess with them. I decided to try deleting the file instead. What could it hurt? Will I have to re-install again or worse, go back to Windows?
Viola, it worked. I have to accept the EULA again and exit the intro video, but unlike an re-install or fresh install, I still have all my Overview Setting. An added bonus is the Display and Graphic setting are back.
I'd still like to know what the heck is going on. But in the mean time I'll just delete "Dat" file "Dat" is causing all the problems.

Try this: open a terminal and from there start the game.. perhaps you will see some error and/or get a hint to what is going on.

Thanks for the reply Aidia. I tried that but could not get to /home/username/.cedega/EVE Online/c_drive/Program Files/CCP/EVE folder. Is there a terminal command that allows me to see hidden folders?
