Hi everyone. My friend just introduced me to Eve a while ago, but I was instantly hooked. I have just registered my account after the trial was up, and now I'd like to buy an ETC for a little starting ISK. The problem is I got almost all the way through the process in the Eve store, when I realized that they actually mail a card to you. I was hoping it was going to be instantly emailed to me.
I see other sites online will do this, but I doubt their security. Can anyone tell me where I might buy an ETC and have it mailed to me, and then be able to securely sell it on here?

Use BattleClinic's GTC website. That's where I've gotten mine from, they seem to be pretty secure (but then I use prepaid cards with only a certain amount of cash on them in case something bad does happen ^_^). You need to give them up to a day the first time you order a GTC from them and the rest are instant, from my experience.

Actually, if I may ask here (so as not to start another thread) what's up with my profile pic being an exclamation mark? It looks like that in EVEMON too. Could it be because I was playing EVE through Steam?

The short version is that you simply need to wait until the portrait server gets around to rendering your picture.
It will happen adventually, however that server has been known to have issues and is not concidered to be overly important, so those issues don't get fixed as fast as more important things.
A longer explaination can be found in this thread.
As it says in that thread, it is a rite of passage getting your picture on the forums. For some it takes a couple of days, for other much longer. For me it was about 9 months, as I happened to join at a time when the portrait server was having extended issues.

Why don't you just make the isk? It is a lot more fun. Especially since your just starting.

plus you actually get to know the game in the process, isk cant buy experience and knowledge.
