Mordeth Ventox Gallente Eye Of The Storm.	Posted - 2008.07.25 18:01:00 - [1] So...I feel like taking a "vacation" into 0.0 space. You know, pack the kids into the ole Dominix and head out looking for adventure. Being a carebear living in empire space my whole life...what can I expect out there? Is every gate camped with vile pirates corps looking to prey on juicy carebears such as myself? And if so what might I do to try to evade such camps? And once I am in said 0.0 system will there be any place to land, refit, shop, etc? "From Hell's heart I stab at thee, for hates sake I spit my last breath at thee."
Johhny Reb	Posted - 2008.07.25 18:03:00 - [2] 0.0 Is the Land of the Alliances. 0.1 - 0.4 Is the Land of the Damned. I wouldn't expect too much action in 0.0 unless you **** off the Alliance who owns it, but in 0.1 - 0.4 is where you will find most of the pirates and gate camps.

The trick is often getting into 0.0, as most of the entry points are choke points, so they're camped. Once you get through, expect to fly many, many, many jumps without seeing anyone in local. When you finally do find someone in local, expect to get jumped by a gang a few minutes after.

If you're ninjaing in 0.0 drones and lasers are the order of the day, tons of camps etc but its actually -safer- than low sec if you know what you're doing, use cheap ships at first to learn the ropes. If you fight a lone BS, you might win, so why self-destruct? If you fight a gang, you won't live long enough to self-destruct. Particularly if you run into a low-sec gang which are generally heavier and more DPS oriented (so you can expect way more damage output then from a nano-gang where you might get to self-destruct).
