Comparison Chart.
Was a pain to see the difference on the original chart from the Devblog so i enlarged it and put data from both of them into one. Should be accurate to the very last pixel, but I can't be 100% that I didn't make a misstake..
Destroyers, dictors and ceptors buffed :D But why did frigates get nerfed? xD
But this chart is a generalisation of each ship class so I'm curious as to what specific ships they did change :P

Nice to see that Assault ships got a boost, hope they got lower mass and increased agility and not just increased maximum speed...

I dont really get the point of these graphs tbh, my nano ishtar easily goes 3.5km/s with a t2 MWD, with 2 t1 polycarbons, 3 OD's and 2 istabs. Vaga's dont go only 2.25km/s max either. It could be to just illustrate the difference with only a MWD pre and post nerf, but as usually dev thinking has next to nothing to do with actual gameplay. Oh well, at least they try :o ______________________

Yes these charts doesn't take mods or rigs into account, just max speed with a mwd and nothing else fitted. They also stated that these are just the basic changes to ships, all the other changes are also stated in the devblog.. And this chart is not meant to represent standard gameplay, I doubt they made this chart and then decided to nerf nanos and polys based on it :P
edit: Also, these charts show a generalisation for each class, so since frigates max speed got lowered it doesn't mean it has to be as much for all frigates, it's just the highest possible speed for the fastest frigate or frigates(with only a mwd fitted). So it might just means that the fastest frigate got it max speed lowered and maybe made more inline with the other frigates..

It's not meant to show how you fly your ship That's for you to figure out what this means for your fittings
I'd love a diagram that shows the fastest possible speed with rigs and mods though, but that wouldn't tell you how you're flying your ship either since it shows the range from fastest to slowest ship in the particular class..

am i the only one who noticed/thinks its totally ****ed that even a fully pimped to the max (assuming thats what he top bar represents) faction frigate, is only marginally faster then a standard frig with standard fitting?
I mean seriously whats the point of buying a faction frig now?

It doesn't tell us that either. Because various ships have wildly varying slot layouts.
The information is provided at such a high level as to be mostly useless other than to say whole classes of ships were made faster or slower.
The changes would have to be given to Grimpen or put on sisi for us to actually figure out how it affects our fits. - Support fixing the UI|Suggest Jita fixes|Compact logs |

Lack of T2 skills. Same as it always was.
Given the option of a fleet stabber, I still pick vagabond. - Support fixing the UI|Suggest Jita fixes|Compact logs |

Edited by: Neth''Rae on 25/07/2008 20:05:50 As I said it's a generalisation, but otherwise you'd have to make a chart with all the possible fittings possible for each ship..
Also, the faction frigates have never been useful? Just expensive..

im talking about standard t1 frigs, and faction frigs. I think its rather odd, that in all the other classes (cruisers & BS), the faction ones can achieve higher speeds, but with the frigate class it is not the case. Really now whats the point in buying a 50mil frig and pimping it out, if a crap fitted t1 frig will be able to catch you with ease

Nice chart - thanks.
Got to say I'm surprised T1 destroyers have not got much of a speed boost especially looking at them compared to T1 cruisers - but wooh look at those assault ships go! Nice!
Oh and Xaen, grow up you big baby. Thats two times today - your whine in the Dev blog about UI issues, and now this whine about Eve-files. Seriously, how old are you?
