Arazu will be way too overpowered. How the hell can you catch a nano without an arazu now, scramblers are pointless against nanos long range. All mid size fleets will be based around the arazu if there is going to be one. Most likely it will be all bs<>titan range.
Why not just lower high speeds. As of right now most vagas go 5k.. and inties are the only really fast ships you see that are common going 10k. I dont know where ccp gets the notion of all these fast ships, they are very rare.

I assume you are aware that the Arazu only gets a bonus to Warp Disruptor range and NOT Warp Scrambler range (which is what is touted as the buffed module rather than it's bigger brother)...? I MASSIVELY hope that as part of the changes, this is a Recon bonus that gets rectified, imo it should have always covered both types of Warp Inhibitor.
I also assume that you're aware that a Vaga can EASILY go more than 5km/s, but most pilots choose to fill some low slots with damage mods rather than get the added speed. A perfectly skilled Vaga pilot with T2 mods and T1 Poly's can do 6.7km/s.. that's without even 3% implants which are dirt cheap. After the speed changes (which, for the record I'm holding out on judgement until nearer the time) they're still going to be the fastest HAC by a long shot, and the DPS they offer means that tackling Inties are very prone to dying whatever their speed.

Define "catch". With the changes, the speeds will be low enough that you can just shoot the suckers, or send missiles/drones after them and actually have a chance to do some serious damage…

Web nerf + scram boost = a boost to AF = me happy.
Compared to current huggin arazu will be able to use sensor damps besides being able to prevent people from escaping. Luckily sensor damps still suck. Then a huginn needs to fit web + scram, while arazu can do about the same with just a disruptor. However a new arazu wont be nearly as effective when trying to stop random ships from reapproaching the gate as a huggin. Huggin + 2 webs = -99% speed = 0 speed. Arazu with shitload of disruptors = AB/normal speed of ship.

Or an interceptor, if that's still not fast enough. Trading an inty for a HAC, you still win. It only has to live long enough for the big guns to get in range of their own scrams. ---

As is the case with most nerfs they go too far.
Providing both a speed nerf and a MWD killer is overkill. - Support fixing the UI|Suggest Jita fixes|Compact logs |

That would be stupid.
The change makes all the stupidly designed two-midslot ships actually useful, let's kill that now. Seriously, wtf?

As much as I'd like my Claw to point and slow down others with my awesome 20km locking range and 2 meds - it would be wrong.

Well, you'll be in 9km range, you'll be running a AB (so no running away - you'll probably be going 600-700m/s after web), so you'll be eating missile fire, drones, maybe neuts if the guy has them if you do. Ofc, small ships will still track the claw just fine.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the idea, it's finally a change that doesn't mean smaller ship automagically die when they enter webrange of a larger properly fitted ship.
Preety much the only idea that entices people to use mixed ship classes in gangs, because big ships don't just swat out small ships with ease anymore.

well it's a big boost to the tech 2 battleships.
just think you fly in close to one of those and your speed goes down 90% and you lose your MWD.
I'm just asuming that is what they meant when they said thier bonus was getting a boost :P

I think the MWD/web/scram changes are great. Nanos will be slower but just as hard to catch as before; will need to fit Scram in order to catch one.
The best bit about this? it might actually encourage people to fight in webrange again. Isn't that a good thing? Being webbed ATM, even for a small ship, is certain death. Not even Interceptors can survive in webrange of BS these days; this change should help prevent that and promote the use of smaller ships more.
The Assault Frigates are/were useless as a direct result of the Web being overpowered, remember? These changes fix that. ...
