Hey Guys,
(Posting from an alt)
Recently my main account was banned for reasons that have required "invesigation".
I was in the process of appealing my account and things were progressing however the last time i recieved any communication from CCP was on the 1st of this month. It has nearly been 3 weeks since; all that was said was "As these matters can take a while to investigate there may be some delay and as such your patience is appreciated."
I would of thought over the past 3 weeks ANY type of communication may have come my way. I have tried calling CCP, filing seperate petitions regarding my original petition but i have recieved no communication at all.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Regards
wraithstorm

A little known fact about petitions is that any time anyone ever posts complaining about how long they take to get answered, any petitions they have get pushed straight to the back of the queue |

This is incorrect. Posting about it has no influence on how long a petition takes. While, at the moment, our queues are very busy and we are experiencing some delays, most petitions should not take as long as the OP suggests.
Now, we never take permanently banning an account lightly and when this happens we do so with very good reasons and this either involves hacked accounts or the owner being a very bad boy indeed. Either type of case takes a rather long and intensive investigation and may be affected in various ways by the way we prioritize them (hacking cases usually get preference over ban complaints as they are much more time sensitive and there is a verified victim that needs our help). Not every GM is properly equipped to handle this type of case as they require a lot of specialized knowledge and training. All these factors usually mean that these types of cases take longer then most others.
I cannot go into any details here on the forums as that information is private between CCP and the account owner. Senior GM Homonoia | Info Group | Senior Game Master |

I understand it was mostly said in jest, however those misconception are very much present among our customers and there are a lot of people that would take the comment to heart. I always encourage a little humor, but sometimes a good joke does need a bit of clarification. Senior GM Homonoia | Info Group | Senior Game Master |

In the same thread of humor: FYI I hear the CSM nominees Mittens clubs baby seals, Darius III throws rockladen bags of kittens into the middle of lakes, Riv is a central American Pinko commie first cousin of Che , while the rest running for CSM are Japenese whalers |

I had a seller go completely unresponsive on the character bazaar after receiving payment. It's been a week for me and nothing. If it takes too long it will just cause me to lose interest in the game and I'll spend my money elsewhere. If you are having similar issues, I suggest just voting with your wallet.
I'm not trying to be overly negative but I don't expect a company's customer service team to improve dramatically in a short period of time. If you are unhappy with their response time, invest into a game where they provide the level of support you expect. |

You're in a crappy situation but they have to investigate - it isn't just "oh he got the ISK and didn't transfer, fixed" - there's the possibility that it was a hacked account, for example. "WeGÇÖre a professional Merc Alliance, like PL" ~ snot shot, 2012 |

Even if they are investigating, they can at least send you a message saying so. That would be the least they could do, instead of letting you think it is being ignored.
Although my petition is not regarding as grave a matter as yours, I have a petition that has been awaiting a response for 10 days now, still in open status without any contact from a GM. That is a little extreme.
If it truly is backed up that much then CCP does need to consider hiring more GM's to handle the petition load.

Throwing in my two cents here, Shouldn't be hard to solve hacked accounts issues for GM's at all if they have the access to the Connection logs in the backend where they can see which account got logged in last from which IP and with a bit back and forth Checking it can be eaily seen what the original IP address was so to verificate the original user as CCP has to its position in the Internet scheme access to it.
Same i think relys to Transaction logs which i think show from Which IP got transfered what to the banned accounts IP adress.
Just spekulating a bit here if i'm wrong my sincere Appologies.

10 days you say? post again when you got to 1 1/2 months before the first response... ;-) That was my highest just recently ago. I actually was kind of sad that it still got answered after 1 1/2 months because by that point i could see me selling the char with the petition in about a year or two and claiming it has the longest unanswered petition... gms kinda ruined that for me and the usual copy paste answer i did recieve after 1 1/2 months really wasnt worth waiting that long... After 1 1/2 months they really didnt have to bother anymore, had made up my mind about how they work by that point anyways... |

Mine was finally handled a few days ago (thank you CCP).
I have asked some other simple questions in the past and had very quick answers (so fast in fact that I was genuinely surprised), then this.
IMO as others suggested, they really need to communicate with their customers throughout the process and if it truly is a bandwidth issue -hire a few more people.
Customer service is so incredibly important when you are in a highly competitive market.
At any rate, I hope the rest of you get your issues sorted out soon. |

On EVEtv, nonetheless.
I really found it funny that every single non EVE player criticized CCP (that I know of who seen the CSM and Alliance panels) for allowing such actions. |
