...should it take for your average 9m SP character to complete your average level 4 mission?
Seeing a lot of people saying they can pull 50 mil an hour on level 4s, now considering a level 4 makes about 10 - 15m (ish?) that would equate to around 5 level 4s an hour.
I'm not ashamed to say that some level 4s take me an hour to complete on their own. Admittedly my battleship skills aren't amazing. *Hides Mining Barge skillbook*

Well, as it stands, in rounded terms;
1 mil in Electronics,
1 mil in Engineering,
1 mil in Gunnery
1.3 Mil in Spaceship Command.
1.3 Mil in Science
1 Mil in Industry
600k in Missile Operation
The rest is sort of.. spattered around the numerous other departments. A pretty rounded skillset that may be my problem, thinking about it.

You may want to aim for a battleship fully setup with tech 2 modules (can go by without t2 weapons, as they take very long to train for). Doesn't mean have to fit all t2, but when you have the (support) skills to do so you should be ok.

Can you afford to lose your raven.
That simple.
Its pretty much a given that you will lose at least one raven going from level 3 to level 4. So if you cant affored to lose it dont if you can go for it.

I was asking how long it generally took to run a mission. I've done at least 30 Level 4 missions in my history, not using a Raven. Well okay, probably done about 5 in my Raven.
Generally I've been flying a Rokh as its a bit more fun, but so far I haven't lost a single ship to a Level 4, they just take forever to complete. I know I need another mil in gunnery to make my DPS worthwhile but I was enquiring as to what the average time per mission is.
Your post didn't really address my original question but I thank you for your contribution. Even if it is a stereotypical "don't fly what you can't afford to lose" response.

depends on mission entirely. Some are fast, some are not. everywhere from 30 minutes to eternity. If u wanna high ISK/hour u either have several lvl 4 agents to do only "good" missions or have effective salvager (say dessie and i kill ya  ).
P.S. As an example: Sansha Blockade can bring 50+ millions in loot+bounties+salvage and takes around 30-40 minutes to complete (i suppose less with good skills), add salavage time urself.

I'm pretty sure he was responding to the 'When to move to Level 4' thread and misposted. As his response totally didn't make sense. I'm curious as to the answers you get also, as I'm planning on intentionally crippling myself by running missions with Matari battleships and I'd like to know just how bad I'm screwing myself.

how does this relate to the topic?
Besides, dont know what you are talking about, but I've never lost a single ship to a mission and im sure most people havn't.
