Edited by: Sheriff Jones on 28/07/2008 13:33:40 Yes. I flew there on a level 1 mission(honest to gods) 'cause i had a very sadistic agent.
Scared witless, met some pirates and said "I'm only visiting" in local and they "escorted" me out of their turf
I think this was my first week in the big bad world(s).

It was so great I didn't leave for about a year.
Though when my corp finally joined me out there we switched over to ISS and ended up fighting IAC. -

Was forcing my way trough a gatecamp with my alliance mates, it was my first pvp experience. During travel i get separated and get chased by two crows who fallow me to the sun (they'd never find me there), my heavies do shit all damage, luckily i was flying a blackbird and i manage a simultaneous jam on both, i got away while on fire, warping to the most beautiful megathron i'd ever seen at a insys safespot. ----------------------------------------- Eves #1 spreadsheet warrior. |

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 28/07/2008 14:36:45 I've spent a total of about six months out in 0.0 while affiliated with 0.0-based corps. I've also probably racked up at least another month worth of 0.0 time ninja ratting (in my cargo expanded, cloaking, salvaging Thorax ) while not affiliated with 0.0 corps.

Faction spawn. I've found my share of faction battleship spawns (well I think I have... I'm not really sure what a fair share in them is tbh) and all but one of them yielded at least 40 million in loot apart from the bounty (the one exception was the one that was only carrying mid-meta items and faction large ammo... and then pirates got me.)

I remember when i whent in 0.0 space... that was so different and that was so damn funny! There were no pos, not so many blob, i remember enemy coming into our space and we doing a lot of skirmish fights using guerilla tactics.
I remember me in a thorax fighting vs 2 caracals and that was so funny, or in a ceptor vs, af, and always vs few enemies.
I remember when encountering a hac was very exciting and you had to do your best to take him down, becouse having a hac was elite for real, they were Elite Cruisers for real!
I remember that after some time you learned the names of your enemies and learned who was good and who was just a target, you gave them respect, and they gave you if you deserved it.
Nowadays even if you are in a superfitted t2 super uber ship... you are nobody, becouse in no time you will be blobbed, or a couple of carriers jump on your head at least. What kind of funny is that?

honestly, my first trip to 0.0 i was just exploring, this was when i was just starting the game, and didnt konw that 0.0 was alliance player owned territory, i went their in my cruiser, (still not knowing about gate camps, and didnt even know that Mobile Warp Disruptor's existed) anyway, im flying aimlessely, just picking a gate and warping to it, and i wound up in Mostly Harmless alliance space, got into one of their main systems and hit a mobile warp disruptor in an empty system, flew through it, w/ my heart beating, not knowing if there were cloaked ships or something, anyway, i get to the next system, and BAM i hit another mobile warp disruptor, but this time it was different, there were something like 50 people in local talking about how come they couldnt dock and what not, and i right clicked to warp the hell outta there once i was out of the bubble, and even saw the station on overview, but decided against it since that is what they were talking about
after i get out of the bubble, i sit on the next gate ( no bubble, **phew** then they are still talking about who has what rights there and whatnot, and all of a sudden they start talking about blues, then "everyone in the system is blue" and someone else said "not soldier" i jumped into the next system immediatlye, and it was a dead end system, no other gates i warp to a planet, not knowing about safespots yet, and 5 people come through "may we ask why your in our space?"
me: "i think i took a wrong turn somewhere, ill be on my way"
them: "you took a wrong turn into a dead ended system?"
me: "must have", "ill be going now"
them: "good luck with that, we have this system sealed off"
me: " :( "
its then that i decide to take my chances, i warp to the system i had just came from, and jump in (since there is no bubble) and get through, now they were slow in catching me, because remember, there was a bubble on this side of the gate, the other side of the next gate, and the gate after that, anyway, i get through w/out being caught, jump into the next system, caught in the bubble, no biggie, but then the gate activatese again, and an interceptor jumps through, luckily i had been having problems hitting rats with my medium guns, and had a web fitted, and he was in range, so i put the web on him, and afterburner'd out of the bubble and warped, leaving the inty behind, i figure well thats taken care of, and by the time i get to the next gate the same inty is there (i didnt know that they had twice the warp speed) anyway, i get to the next system, and jump through, and warp to next gate, and the inty pilot follows, we both jump through, and i again, as fast as i can warp to 0, and the inty pilot locks onto me, and attempts to throw a warp scram on me, but he was too far away, i make it safely to the next gate, and the pilot does not pursue. i get to the next system, and then theres like 4 rouge drone battleship npc's (when will it end) they blast my poor little vexor to like 50% structure, before i finally align and warp off, it is then that i think im in the clear, the next jumps are all low sec, shouldnt encounter any npc battleships, only some cruisers i see on gates
while im warping back to gelfiven i type a letter to the inty pilot
"that was getting fun, why stop m8?"
his reply:
"it was fun, but was no point in continuing:
notify for warp disruptor II to work you need to be within 24,000 meters of your target (something like that, this isnt the exact letter), and you are 24,071 meters away
71 meters of freedom :( fly safe"
and after that, i get back to gelfiven in one piece, dont hit any gate camps along the way (suprise really, ignorance really is bliss, because now that i konw about gate camps, i hit them quite frequently)
anyway, i did this from minmatar space, the whole thing after i was back in gelf was like a 40 jump trip into low/ 0.0 space, one way

so i made about 80 jumps total that night, if i had done it now, i would have self destructed, but back then all i had was my little vexor
btw i did do all of this in a vexor and live, its suprising really, as i said before, ignorance really is bliss, and in my case luck and safety
that was my first trip into 0.0 space, i went there a few nights ago "Pf-346 or something like that, the 00 space right next to a 0.7 system right next to villore)
anyway, went there in my pod, and these idiots had a camp up in 0.0 space without a bubble, flew around their space for a bit, talked trash in local, made them think i had 50million in implants, and would lead them around, be like "hey theres 3 enemy battleships at xxx belt" and watch 4 of them warp to me and try to catch me, it was funny, lol

I remember my first day in 0.0. HED-GP no less. Corp ran a recon op to "stir up the numbers" down there, so we were all in T1 frigates and a covert-ops scouting ahead, as if HED-GP needed more stirring up.
I cant remember a more tense a time in my EVE life. I swear I must have created indentations that still remain on my mouse to this day from the tension.
When we did get into a fight (was a Zealot, no less, fell in love with it at first sight), FC said we might as well bumrush the guy for shits and giggles.
We did.
We however didnt get the killmail, but it was a great exercise in trying to act like a hornets nest which was getting sprayed with bugspray.
I've never had anything come close to that first time in 0.0. Heck, I dont have the isk to participate in 0.0 nowadays. Too busy IRL to rat even. -

Everything was clear, and when I loaded up outside there was about 200 reds on the outpost. And that's how Maelstrom fell. Aweseomenessness |

Edited by: kickan min on 28/07/2008 19:01:14 I remember my first 0,0 camp.... I jumped in and a had already trained to pilot a taranis. I gunned back to gate and lived and ever since i feel like undestroyable in my tackler... I gunned thru that gatecamp several times just to see if a could make it.... ever since ive loved my inty ... and i have survived so many encounters and lived its sick. One time after tackling i had to MWD and overcharge until i got out of their range and they hunted me so they where scattered over 150k or so and i just went back to gate and jumped. sounds simple enough but with a gate camp and webbers this seemed way hardcore when i did it

I took an executioner into 9UY or some such, to a station called 'Unity', to get my first few jump clones, which I then moved back into Empire. I took three clones from that place, and still have one in the station, though it's called 'Deliverence' or some such now.
I made it out of there in shuttles, into Khanid space and high sec stations, and with the last clone I got caught in a gate camp. Needless to say, that was my fastest trip.

My first trip into 0.0 was in my third week of play on my first char. I popped my head into Syndicate and looked around the belts near Poitot, killed a few of the easier rats and ran for my life when about 20 -10.0s jumped in. I made it out alive and I still pop into Syndicate from Solitude nowadays.

Edited by: Reem Fairchild on 28/07/2008 19:24:16 I went into 0.0 a week or so after I started playing in an afterburning Atron (my main character is Gallente) with an overdrive and a wcs. Got in without a problem, flew around for a little bit in Morsus Mihi's space, headed back to empire, warped into a bubble for a small camp on one gate and managed (miraculously) to get away from it, took another route and, after a long flight, finally managed to make it out safely.
