Anyone else think it would be cool if ships didn't pick a default orientation? You know, you could warp upside down, stay upside down in combat etc.

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 28/07/2008 15:28:08 Too much of a hassle and longer alignment times. Currently the ships seem to move more slowly along a Y axis than an X axis, which is why it takes longer to align and warp to something that's above or below you from a starting default orientation. Or maybe that's just my imagination.

It would be excellent. But it won't happen because it adds an axis to the physics. -

Not much of a big deal either way, since most people play so zoomed out everything's just a bunch of brackets on a starfield. And even then, the Overview makes that excessive. :)

I play up close.
If I'm shelling out massive isk for a ship, I wanna be able to look at it. __________________________________________________ |

read an SF story one time and the two aliens were talking about human oddities. the one said to the other that you can always id human ships because they will always align to each other in orbit.
