Hey all,
I think we all agree, that this is at least the biggest pvp change since the NOS-Nerf. So all of us brave hardcorers are running sisi all day, missing fleetops, missing doing money and missing sleep to get to know all those major changes. My 1st impression was verry negative. I logged on SiSi and jumped into my 12Bill Machariel including Snake-Set, undocked and went like 5,8km/s. "CRY!!!!!!!!"
So here was I. I stated to delete all my characters, went around crying like "I skilled 2 years for 1 ship and they destroy evrything!!", praying deathwishes for CCP towards Lucifer himself and so on and so on...
Well for some reason, i still logged into my alliance TS, maby just to say goodby, i dont know. However i was straight cought in a verry deep chatt about the new "NerFs".
What will happen is, that speedtanking will actually become Signature-Radius Tanking. Hm... Does that mean, smaller ships get better!? NO! It means that eve is getting damn GREAT!

Ok, we basically did some tests, and alot of math, and eaven more tests. With hilarious results.
Frigates can now only die to BS, if the BS has small Drohnes. As there is no more the MWD-Sig-Increase, but more AB running, the BS has no way to hit a FrigSized foe. Most benefiting shipclasses: Assault Frigs, Intys
Cruiser sized ships, will not just die to BS anymore, due to the webnerF and they will NOT be able to easyly kill frigs. Does that meaen there will be a revival of Destroyers!? YES my friends, YEAH!!! Most benefiting shipclasses: Destroyers, HACs thx to the WebNerF
Ok this could just go on all day, so letz keep it simple.
There is alot of balancing work coming along, BUT this patch will remove only nano-gangs. It will remove only BS-Fleets. It will remove only Whatever-Fleets. It will open a way of eve like we had in the old days. There will be mixxed Fleets again, all day. No ship will be "overpowered" like the Ishtar or eaven the Machariel :( . I love it! Ok my char has done about 18 mill SP for nothing, BUT EvE will once again be way more tactically based. And MWD killing Scrams, is defnitly what i was looking for ever!!! Its a micro WARP drive so a WARP scrambler should kill it. So ou only use a MWD to get into combat range, not keep at speed.
This is a great patch, but i look at it with a tear drop in my eyes.
Balancing to be done: Evrything concerning speed and sig radius. Really evrything!

This is how I feel it should be. Your force will either be specialized, or need a mixture of ship classes to be effective.

I did a mistake, or it got changed again, my Mach now flyes 3.1 km/s fully officer / faction fitted including snake set Oo

That is still bloody fast for a battleship and it can easily catch any other BS. It just can't outmanouver frigs and cruiser anymore. As you said, these changes are going to be great and painful

i know, as i said, i love and hate that patch, as i just trained towards that imbalanced machariel for 2 years now, but i still see taht this patch makes it from an imbalanced ship to a balanced one. anyways it makes me feel bad, because i wasted alot of SP for a ship that is not imba anymore =)

I'd like to know what skills you trained that only apply to the machariel?
