Ive been playing now for about 3 months. Ive got the general Idea of EVE. Ships, stations, mining etc..
My issue is deciding what to do. I see agent missions and I think I want to attempt that but then I see manufacturing.
So my question is what is a typical login for you in the following lines? IE. what do you do when you login and decide to do the following activities?
- Agent running - Manufacturing/mining - PVP/Ratting - Other
I just want to get a good feel for a day in the life of a typical long time eve player so I make progress.
Ive made millions of ISK in trade but found it a little dry and boring. I love manufacturing, love mining ( its just me ), love agent running. Haven't tried PVP yet.

just do all of them. make it something like one thing per day, till you get to have what you really like.
have to admit though that your logic of ''i like everything'' will take you ages. getting all the skills up for all those things at the same time, means you will never be 100% good in any of them.

Unlike most other MMO's EVE isn't a grind, unless you make it into one. So sure, if you like doing different things do so if that keeps you busy/happy.
What you perhaps can do best is join a proper 0.0 alliance where there's a need for active people (instead of the high sec mining/missioning zombie squads). So you get to see more of the world, get in touch with diffeerent aspects of the game and meet more people. That's what EVE is about tbh.

Okay, so I have logged in
Oh, I have a story line missions. Do that.
Later we have a corp mining op. Great.
After that maybe an low sec anti-pirate patrol.
If not maybe a mission and then some industrial work.
Play with a few ship fittings and chat to corp mates.
Log out.
Three years old and live in empire atm.

Usually I jump right into missions. Since I have trained the right skills, I can do my manufacturing and play the market while I salvage or mine. I usually only really mine if I have to. Not a big fan of rattin, unless it's in 0.0, but i'll do it if I have a few minutes left and it's not enough for me to mine or run a mission.

Check that skills are training ok. Check POS fuels and if anything needs to be hauled / done. Check if there's any PVP going on; sometimes there are ops, other times there are ad-hoc defense gangs, sometimes nothing. If nothing, rat a little, or log off.

I log in, greet my Members and check my Corp Mails (I'm the CEO, so there's always something to reply to) and then figure out what's going on.
I run Suddenly Ninjas, a Corporation of Ninja Salvagers and Looters, and everybody has different areas of expertise.
We have Ninja Salvagers, who scan down Mission Runners and salvage and loot the wrecks in Deadspace. We have Intel Gatherers, who are busy looking at our existing War Targets or other Pilots for possible weaknesses that we could exploit. We have PvP Combat Pilots, who are usually active dealing with our War Targets. We have Manufacturers and those playing the Market. We also have some Members who are busy ratting or otherwise expanding their horizons.
What does all this mean to you? Well, if you're savvy to it, try starting a Corporation! I know everybody else is mentioning the wealth of opportunity in EvE, but this is one area where you can really decide which direction you want to take.
Want to fight? Build a PvP or Merc Corp. Want to make ISK? Build a Mining, Mission Running (ugh), Industrial or Financial Corp. Want to be original? Build a Corporation that does something you might not normally see in-game.
The options are endless, and the possibilities are vast. It's really up to you to see what you like, and just remember, you're never to old to switch up and try something new.

Some truth to that, although if you run your own corp, you'll spend a lot of time cat-herding (reading emails and dealing with stuff) and so you'll have less time for doing what you like.
But what you're missing is playing this game with friends, and having their goals to help out with. The PVE activities you're doing solo aren't as developed as in other games... the NPC combat AI sucks, mining is mind-numbing, and everything is kinda bland.
This game, played with friends, is a whole lot better than played solo. I won't suggest getting into PVP if you don't want to, but definitely find a group of good people to play with. Emphasis on good.
