Seeing as it is near impossible to find people with modal or anode light blasters, where is a good place to farm for these, or what rats generally drop named light blasters?

well, gallente space (serpentis) would be a good start since they use blasters mostly... good luck

Serpentis frigates drop light blasters...
2k-4k: Light Electron 5k-10.5k: Light Ion 10.5k-15k: Light Neutron
Or at least thats what I seem to recall the split being, its possible that its a bit off. I've actually heard that named light ions drop fairly often from low-level agent kill missions, but thats something of a rumor. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

I know this isn't the market forum...
But if you have extra named light neutrons (especially modals or anodes) I will buy them off you for good prices.

Anyway, you get named neutrons from Soldiers and Protectors. 10k & 15k I think. Maybe the 12.5ks if I remember correctly (if they exist... maybe I'm just really tired). ----------- Vala Dae'Tarien Shattered Star Sales |

Jeez, if I had known people bought those things I would have not not refined all those ones... Anyways serpentis frigates drop them all the time.

Your 250mm 'Scout' Accelerator Cannon perfectly strikes Serpentis Soldier, wrecking for 319.4 damage. |

Sansha's Nation fires and drops lasers
Angels fire and drop projectile weapons
Serpentis fire and drop hybrid blasters
Guristas fire and drop hybrid rails
Bloods fire and drop ?? ok, I forgot. It's been a while.
So, if you want small blasters, look around in Serpentis space, maybe 0.4 - 0.1 sec status systems..
That's be Placid, Sinq Laison, etc. FOuntain, Syndicate are also serp, but those are mainly cruiser spawns.
I guess the better (higher bounty) serpentis frigate you kill, the better chance you have of getting a good named blaster. :)
Good luck.

There needs to be a light blaster awareness week or something, these things are a real pain to buy and people don't know and just recycle them all the time =/

Type Jasch in your search bar on the neocom and head towards the system that pops up.
I mined there for a bit recently and killed a fair number of low-level npc's.
They dropped named electron/neutron blasters.

Good Large named Blasters then? Pay FA and go SOUTH?
Good Large Hybrids then? Pay PA and go North?

I think the named light ions are only dropped by one type of Serpentis rat (the 4k, IIRC) which goes part way to explaining the rarity of Modal Light Ions compared to Neutrons.

I have named Anode Neutrons on my Taranis and they do insane damage if you can get in close enough.

Actually you can get named 425mm rails in Fountain too. Try killing Guardian Elders, they drop all 4 types. ------------- My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants. I <3 ( . Y . ) |

I usually get 1-2 small named hybrid blasters a day when rat hunting in Old Man Star but it's been a few weeks since I was there. I guess they still drop them.
As for anode and Modal, I don't remember picking those up specifically but I do have some so they probably came from that system.
