Yesterday evening at approximately evetime 20:00 hours Jericho Fraction announced a 24hour pause for negotiation prior to committing itself to action in the Reikoku vs Phoenix Alliance war. During this period we have worked exhaustively to pursue diplomatic resolution in preference to open warfare and have been in tireless communication with all sides of the dispute.
The crux of the matter came down to this:
Pheonix Alliance publicly announced some weeks ago that CDI Corporation had been punished for warmongering and assaults on allies and infractions against the NAST treaty and part of this punishment were certain restrictions on their freedom of action while they wished to remain a PA corporation.
This document is on public record and the contents are neither contended nor disputed by the Phoenix Alliance. These ceasefire terms were fully endorsed by the CEOÆs of RONA and Oberon corporations, and witnessed by PA representatives from GODS and RONA-KIA corporations. Robeyone of RONA gave his personal assurance and promise that should CDI break the ceasefire terms either they would be kicked out of the Phoenix Alliance or RONA would itself leave and distance itself from the PA.
CDI broke the ceasefire terms. This again is neither contended nor disputed by the PA.
Yesterday our allies in Reikoku Corporation took the step of going to war against the Phoenix Alliance on this issue. Having finally lost patience with the inability (or unwillingness) of the PA to censure and control its rogue corporation CDI, and as a longstanding military and political ally of RKK it was our duty to defend their interests and prerogatives as we did our own.
We contacted the PA and gave them 24 hours to eject CDI Corporation and come to the negotiating table to resolve this issue, citing the need for a formal undertaking on the part of Phoenix Alliance to reform its behaviour in these regards and take a more active role in policing the actions of its members.
I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received and as a consequence of this Jericho Fraction is now at war with the Phoenix Alliance.
The following corporations are moved to -10 standing and may be attacked without warning by our pilots in 0.0 space:
[20TH] 20th Legion [21ST] 21st Legion Ghsts [BALEC] Big Al's Everything Corp [BLADE] Bladerunners [BTLS] Battlestars [CEI] Cutting Edge Incorporated [CDI] CyberDyne Industries [CE] Cataclysm Enterprises [CPDS] Copiae Dius [CTEK]Caldari Technological Division [DDNN] DDNN [FGH] Fighters of Heineken [FW I] FW Inc [GODS] Generals of Destruction Syndicate [NSN] North Star Networks [OCC] Occassus Republica [OI] Oberon Incorporated [QI] Quantum Industries [ROHAN] Riders of Rohan [RONA] RONA Corporation [R-K] RONA-KIA [SLI] StarLight Inc. [TWB] The Wolf Brigade [TWC] The Whitesands Consortium
This is not a step that we take lightly or easily, and for a moderately sized corporate entity such as Jericho Fraction to take on an alliance of several hundred members is a bold and challenging task. We have no doubt that the fight will be long and far from easy, but unless courageous hearts take a stand to fight for honourable causes and strike out against the evil of corrupt scheming manipulators in the north then the region where we make our home will never know peace nor prosperity, and hope itself will wither on the vine of fine potential.
NAST was a noble idea, but from the beginning it was betrayed and undermined by dishonourable corporations hiding their perfidy beneath the PA cloak.
We have no quarrel with Fade Union, or Coalition of Deklein, or any friendly allied corporation in the freespace zones of Pureblind, Tribute or Vale.
Our sole intention here is to see justice done and the Phoenix Alliance keep their word this one occasion and remove CDI from their member list in punishment for the infractions that everyone freely admits did happen.
Until that happens our guns must do the talking since words have failed.
To all the PA bravos that have howled their desire to see me on the battlefield, now you will get your chance. But make no mistake. We will not fight your kind of war PA. We will conserve our resources and strike where you are weak, avoid your strength, and nip and bite at your wealth and safety until justice is finally done.
Whether it will take days or weeks or months ahead, the war will continue so long as our allies require the aid and help we can provide.
Jericho Fraction does not abandon our friends.

Only thing i have to say :
Good Luck JF/RKK and EVOL .. your fighting a good cause.
I't should become clear now that RONA & R-K is not planning to keep thier word. That fact alone justifies the declaration of war on the PA. -----------------------

They have only declared it, it remains to be seen if they will actually fight in it. I predict a token JF ship in every fleet. \o/

Currently we are holding down a 25 ship PA fleet with 4 interceptors. That seems pretty good going to me.

Earlier one Jericho pilot was chased in shame from a Phoenix Alliance gate camp!
The unidentified pilot failed to engage his Tristran frigate with a PA force of four Raven battleships holding down a system against him.
Smack ensued, and the PA named our pilot a "coward and running dog" for his lack of transcendent combat process and spammed him with gang invites instead.
The truth of the matter is that our man was scared to actually engage the battleship fleet incase the devs noticed and nerfed frigates some more ;)
More news as we have it!

Actually, the 4 guys there originally (me, cleo, hampstah and luc) were about to log-off and the guys jumping in were our replacements.
We turned up with 4 BS because we were told Claren had been killed by 4 BS - we like even numbered fights too.
Sorry if the jump in local annoyed you but that's the way Viceroy's cookies crumble.

I'm surprised it took so long for people to realise how PA are. After last time with presidio breaking a 1v1 agreement and bladerunners doing a log on exploit(what ever its called i cant remember), etc.

Read through 15 or more posts concerning this happening, and can only say that there is something like having a reason for a war, be it right or wrong, and there's such a thing as looking for a reason for war. :P
If i should take any moral stance in this, i'd prolly side with PA as they seem victims of a general assumption that they are dishonorable, carebears (not even on weed), whiners etc. As far as i know, and am concerned, they are a peacekeeping alliance, helping to keep a part of space free and open for all but pirates. Still seems unfair as i doubt anyone operating in 0.0 has a clean record in the honour, selfesteem and yadayada department.
Reading up on Rona corps, not final statement, and what i know of them, they seem to be the tip of the powerscale that everyone has an interest in keeping out of the conflict and/or have as allies. Must be a tough decision for any CEO to make and the reasons laid out so far, seems reasonable from a management and interest of corp and members point of wiew. Never heard of politics putting so called "honour" over simple logic.

Try and fly through "their" space, and see how "free and open" it is, Im sure there would be a nice welcome party to greet you as you fly into venal.

/sarcasm So you've been up mining and npc hunting in Venal have you? I suppose you were welcomed with open arms to that "free and open" area of space eh? /sarcasm
You have about as much idea of what the PA does as the average member of that alliance has. ie bugger all. No offence but that's the truth.
The PA consists of many corps and they fall into the following categories :
1) We run the place (CDI/Rona-KIA); 2) We don't want to know, just point us at the ore (Rona etc); 3) We talk smack (TWB).
Not being funny but bugger all has basically changed up there since I was in the NVA - a few people will fight (consistently and well) and the rest will wonder how much money other people are making while they're blobbing. They'll eventually find excuses not to blob (want to earn even more money) and then it all falls apart - again!
We all know that's true - well any of the fighters in the PA do for sure
Most of the people in PA have no idea at all what the PA is up to and in fact couldn't really give a damn as long as it doesn't affect their money-making capacity.
Venal is very aptly named............

Soz, i shall rephrase or actually underline some of the text i wrote.
By saying a part of space i mean Tribute, and especially D7-ZAC. My experiences with members of NAST, and the Jericho people where we mined, has only been good so far. This thursday i flew safely through Obe gate, where some alliance people (Battle Stars if my memory serves me correct) were camped to defend the gate from rats. This was around 18.00 gmt, so before any war decs happened. We had a corp outing happening next to D7 and was treated friendly by the people in and around D7. NAST and Jericho members a like.
I'm well aware that going to Venal is the same thing as going to Curse, but there are loads of reasons for that. Only alliance in this game actually keeping an open space policy, afaik, are CFS, apparently hated by all other than miners in empire :). Heck, even NORAD, New Outer Rim Alliance "Democracy", thought they were "good guys" keeps a pod all policy :P
