I like goons as much as I dislike them, and for the same reasons...
they're fun to camp a gate with (I hate camping gates)
They like shooting blues any chance they get (this is bad, but sometimes I wanna shoot people even though they're blue, too...)
They make terrible posts and troll the forums (this is bad, but I've been banned from these forums 3 times so far for doing the exact same thing)
idk... maybe if I could be bothered to pay for forum membership (I know, I'm paying for this forum but it has a game attached to it, too) then I would've been a goon... but the world will never know, 'cause there are no goons.
My number one reason why I like goons, though, is that I think goons is a pretty cool guy. He takes peoples space and doesn't afraid of anything.

I love em because I was all set to quit after taking the game too seriously post-ascn but flying with them around 77S and getting to slap the GBC and pounding RISE who at the time were renting the station we built put the fun back in the game for me.
I just wish i knew what fofofo meant but they wouldnt tell me :(

When I had been in-game for about two months or so I decided to fly all the way out to the deepest part of Cloud Ring (or maybe it was Outer Ring) to find the highest-end ore (having neglected to notice that it takes up 16 m3 of cargospace per unit.) I decided to search for it in Goon space because I thought "hey these guys probably won't mind". So I flew out there, saw the ore, and then decided the best way back to Empire was to get podded.
So I flew to a station that was swarming with Goons. I just sat there and they just sat there, and I begged them to pod me for what must have been at least a minute or two. They neglected to do so, so IIRC I warped to the gate but there was a bubble there. Then I warped somewhere else in the system and was scanned down and destroyed. My parting words were "yeah well FYAD suuuuuucksss!" I didn't really know what FYAD was at the time but I knew it was associated with SA somehow.
So all in all it was a newbtastic exercise in idiocy on my part but I had a good laugh about it while it was all happening.
