Out of curiosity .. if it hadn't been fixed, and the winner genuinely did want to return it to its rightful owners of the Amarrian Empire .... how could he do so without convincing you that it was fixed?

Please go through the BIG drawing method, then come back explaining me how the heck it can get rigged with 600 people typing a number at the same time?
Untill then I see totally no evidence it was rigged. -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs

Its very easy to rig a lottery like that. Very very easy.
I dont think it was rigged tbh, but it was the most stupid event ever. -

I wonder if they realize that ship is worth 5-10billion isk if it were to go on sale. _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. "Can I be a consultant for EVE II?" - WhiteDwarf |

At the first glance we realized that this ship is part of the storyline. We wanted to do something that actually has an impact on our own roleplay AND the unfinished story of the Imperial Apoc. Gameplay and fun are far more important for us than pure ISK.
You might have noticed back when we cleared Gehi from a christmas tree.

I may be acting a bit cynical, but something is a bit fishy. Your corp seems a little too sterile to be just another paying customer's corp. From your very professional looking signature to that press release which has perfect grammar spelling and punctuation. Also, the fact that you just gave away a prize like that.
All in my head?...perhaps.
However if this is a fixed event designed to get player corps more involved in the story -- make mistakes, it would look more convincing. Also, don't do it in events where players believe they have a chance to win.

trash the apoc and be done with it

If this world was supposed to be friendly CCP wouldnt have wasted time paying the devs to code so many weapons |

Thanks. The signature is my creation. All credits for the press release go to our wordwizard von Steinroehder. And...omg, we made mistakes...we keep making em...after 1 year. Together.

Personally, if I had won it, I'd let it sit in my hanger until I could pilot it, then I'd fly it to Amarr homeworlds, in full public attention...
And then set it to mine Veldspar.
Just for the hell of it.
That'd be some grand statement, no? ;)

personally if I won it I would do exactly what ionstar did round up everyone and start heading for amarr. Then when everyone is watching I would self destruct the imperial apoc and type in local this is what I think of CCP.
Thats just what I would do don't know about the rest of you guys.

Thank the Lord nobody else did win it then as the winners sent it back and made an event out of it. If there had been a competition to win it that included complete the following sentence, "If I won the Apoc I would..."
Keep it in my hanger Flog it Mine Veld with it
Would not have been winning anytime soon.
But, return it and turn it into an event people can enjoy in their own way might well have had a better chance. ---------------- There are no bugs just locked threads |
