I was just thinking it would be awesome if CCP did some deal with Games Workshop or Wizards or someone to do a tabletop game. They did it with mechwarrior and that is seriously cool. I really want a model of a Stiletto on my desk :)
I don't know how you would solve the problem of the titans though. Die cast model the size of your house? Sweet

Would be a cool idea. They already have battle fleet Gothic. The warhammer 40k worlds spaceship tabletop game. Guess if you have any good model converting friends you could pay them to make a ship from eve  .

Yes it is a cool idea, and i think CCP said so too.
But it got kinda lost in the shuffle, and something about cost, who would make them and so forth..

There was talk about an eve RPG a while ago. If this comes out then me may see the ships etc being produced as models.
On the Battletech idea, the table top game came out first. The Computer games came out as a result, the current Mech warrier dark ages is a poor reflection of the game, classic is much better for anything more then one of fights.
Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congrated by carebears for the actions. |

I have a friend with the card game. He says it's decent, and his experience with other card games like magic, illuminati and that white wolf werewolf one suggest he knows what he's talking about.
I would support an EVE RPG, except for the fact that CCP clearly neglects many aspects of immersion or simulation in this game. I would prefer it if they would get that stuff sorted out in the game first.

Like Tharukan said, have a friend converting an existing model, maybe a Battle fleet Gothic model. Or let someone make a computer 3D model and make a 3D print of it (that can be abit expensive though).

This would be seriously awesome. IN a geeky way. I'd buy all the Amarr ships just to display them.
And a table-top game would be interesting and cool.

Yes, this would be very cool if it was done to the same quality standards that the Art Of Eve book and Eon magazine are. I'd totally buy up some of my favorite ships!

As a kid I used to be an avid model collector.
I'd spend literally hundreds getting together ship fleets if this ever came about.

Might be doable with Amarr and Gallente designs.
Minmatar would break all the time and Caldari would be really inefficient to package.
