Right now I have one pvp character who is training for deimos/ishtar but currently flying a myrmidon. What do you think would complement that best for solo (2 character) gatecamping? I was thinking something Amarr so they could drone rep each other. Of course I'm not looking for the "best ship in EVE" just suggestions for a specific purpose.
Is it worth also training a character just to sit in system cloaked and provide gang bonuses?
Thoughts?

I wouldn't suggest getting a Falcon alt actually, with how OP (imo and many others') they are by the time your alt trains to use them they will probably be rebalanced or nerfed.

2. Gate camping and depending on drones for anything is same recipe. Sentries will kill your drones.
3. Falcon (or Blackbird until it has the skills for Falcon).

Deimos and ishtar are two entirely different balls of wax. Figure out which one you wanna fly and learn how to fly it (not just skills - learn the ships strengths, limitations, abilities etc.).
Deimos will not last against gate guns. A plated ishtar might - but probably not against gate guns and an enemy combatant.
If you're looking for a good PvP duo, train your other toon to fly covops probers and get off the gates.

have to agree, 2nd account should be a jammer. since you have to tank sentries, iŠd go for a scorpion. if not jammer then a minnie webber, but the recons will have a hard time to tank the sentries i guess (i havent done any of this btw).
but the idea of "solo" camping a gate doesnt sound too good of an idea.

EDIT: solo gatecamping probably would be a disaster like you said, so I changed the idea for my alt's purpose.
I agree training falcon FOTM is probably ill advised. Amarr have been waiting years for a buff, but you never know... What do they have now that would make a decent matchup?
Deimos I thought was a glass cannon. Ishtar is maybe more balanced? Also I guess you don't have to worry about jamming and can kill at range (even without nanos).

I've been running 2 on my PC for a couple of weeks no problems. Even had 3 up for awhile one day to change my bro's training and didn't even slow down.

Dooing solo PVP wiht 2 Accounts at the same time is a clear fail in catching the theme of Solo PVP. 
On the other hand, Falcon is quite nice, you canŠt realy do solo PVP without them anymore(as a simple counter against other Falcons). 
Think for your kind of Job Amarr will be fine, since Abaddon is great for station/gate camping because of the big HP buffer.

Learn to read. The OP said he wanted his duo to be used for empire wardecs on mining corps.
Now to to answer the OP... the myrm is a great ship still, and if your looking for a great pair to go with it I would suggest something like a ruppy or a vexor, my reasoning is that you'll want something to dish out DPS while you use the myrm as bait or support... the mrym can field 75m3 of drones but also has 6 unbonused high slots for reppers and energy transfers, use egress rigs and talismins on the myrm pilot. You may also want to go for something like the curse on your alt.
Either way you look at it theres lots of synergies you can use haveing 2 ships that you are piloting.

[LOWS] Plate / resists / rep / ????
Pretty safe with that although may have to watch drones, should be quite easy to escape small gangs, align, neut tacklers (neut IIs got longer range than T2 distruptors), warp.

More seriously, find what works best for you or what you like best as everyone will have different opinions. There's no shame in trying out of the box combos.
If you're looking for efficiency, go for the covy alt. If you don't mind being called a spineless basterd with a mangina, get him in a falc. But all you need is a scout really.

I'd vote Heavy dictor and cloaky hauler scout alt. Or cloaky ishtar scout alt. Sit nicely 200km off the other side of the gate aligned for it.. etc.

Then 1 falcon comes along and jams you both anyway and keeps tacklers alive.
Lets face it, falcon is the best choice just because it always can jam to gtfo ... you will always win if your against 1 target just because it will be perma jammed ( IF its got something like 2 eccm you will still get a jam in every other cycle). And if there are 2-3 enemy's you will jam 2 of them perma and the 3rd on and off.
Oh and with the speed "balance" falcons will be extremely hard to get to and catch.
(oh and a good scout)

falcon for sure can scout drop probes jam over 150km(out of range of sentry guns) and its tough to fight with 2 accounts especialy when ones a falcon which needs full attention. But you are war decing in high sec so maybe basilisk or osprey and a dps ship with high resists

I used to solo w/ a harbinger and covert ops alt scout in kor-azor, worked for me. Self-scout is very very nice. Falcon is just that +10 (ECM); saves you from blobs and is the new WCS. I have more fun solo with a nano-zealot, especially now that I have many, many, many targets available where sentries would usually prevent it, because of FW.

nano rupture + blakcbird.
sit at a planet with your nano rupture, then wait until someone comes and pops it.
then send in the blackbird, jam the target for a few cycles and run away.
not very effective, but I've seen ppl do it.
replace the cruisers by their t2 variants if u feel 1337 enuff

Odd... I often run a 2nd account on my pc w/o any issue. For far longer than an hour. In fact... I don't think EVE has ever crashed for me because of it. Make sure you are using separate EVE Folders for the 2 accounts and set your cache properly in the EVE client as well as toning graphics/sound/effects down on both clients (I turn sound completely OFF on the alt).

Not true, I can run several accounts at the same time, watch a movie, burn a DVD and whatever else all at the same time. The old EVE used to have nasty memory leaks but the recent builds are rock solid.

Not necessarily, sir. I experienced this very frustrating issue with my very new computer. I worked around this issue by playing both of my accounts in window'd mode. Now, Pegleg is free to run amok in hi-sec while my other character does his other things in that other sec.
Since I started playing in window mode, I have not had one crash, disconnection from server, freeze up, etc.

Combo i would like is HIC and Rook/Falcon not huge on Dps but could bring tears to the eye's of anything smaller than a BC main problem would be them getting back to jump range of gate but you will be surprised how often peope keep spamming the warp button while scrammed.
combo i do fly ATM for duel account 0.0 gate camps is Hyena and stealth bomber. hyena locks them inplace and can atm speed tank well then if i think target is do able uncloak SB and F1-F3 ( i live in an area with very good intel so i usually know of any incomming threats a couple of jumps out)
IMHO 2x falcons are useless due to the hard time you will have tackling anything as this puts you in drone and FoF range (not the place to be in a falcon) plus the DPS is..... well what DPS
for miner corp war decs i would go with an out of corp altfresh out of the box in a bantam or similar frigate for a scout so he blends in to the miner crowd and for your main does not really matter if its miners you will be fighting but the duel domis would be nice and cheap and not so skill intensive or expensive as many other combo's and will play havoc with the PvE fits they will most likely undock

Try a Rapier/Arazu. Great combination. Won't be able tank sentries, but for empire war decs you're golden.
