So there are some people who will threaten violence on someone in RL because that person stole PRETEND money and PRETEND items in a game of MAKE BELIEVE?

Yes, yes, yes, yes and lastly I challenge you to prove differently. Very Serious Indeed™ :p
Facetiousness aside, the Internet and in particular online gaming where no 'real' consequences exist for participants largely due to the anonymity afforded. Is a completely different ballpark from people who you know, live, work and socialise together with.
Among such a network even RL theft is not outside the realm of possibilities but it is also true that it carries with it very real and very tangible consequences, that may or most likely may not result in violence.
Violence being the most striking and perhaps graphic example but one that is not unheard of all the same.

I would like to tell my side of the story. Rpriebe1979 was a good corp mate of mine, an indeed I lent him a lot of isk.
However, I decided he needed teaching a lesson when he said that speed gangs needed nerfing. So I stole all his shit and sold it real cheap to some passing space gypsies.
Thanks

This debate raised another good question. If someone you know in real life stole things worth months of effort from you inside a game. Would you be able to not hold that against them because it happened in a game?

The poster above me pretty much sums it up for you. But I'll add this:
If you walk around believing that everyone is out to kill you and take your stuff in real life, you're considered delusional. In eve, that's called being realistic.
