Well, only 12700 hits for the alternate spelling, I guess that's pretty rare.
I'm guessing the trap was to make me spend a few seconds actually checking that the original ca. 1900 spelling is "sextuple" (like the nautical instrument).
So again, your greatest objection is I'm using a word you do not approve of to say 'six of a kind'? Fascinating. Tell me more, this thread will go places.
Edit: 1626, not 1900. My bad. You seem like the kind of person who would be intrigued by this addendum.
