20 hours until race time everyone!
Please make sure you are in the "Frigate Race" chat channel and in the Uedama system in good time before the race!
All participants, spectators and pilots attending the event in any other capacity must be in this channel to facilitate pre-race procedures.
Thank you.

Just confirming that I will in fact be working with Julius on future events, also I will be increasing any rewards from my own wallet.
I would like so say, however, that soon I will be flying under the name of Ludvik Aldasteinnson, and all future dealings with Julius will be done under that name. Akavari Entara's Ship Log |

This event has now been finished. Big thanks to everyone who attended, and to all my employees who competently monitored the checkpoints!

I'm sorry that you are upset, but the rules were the same for everyone, and I did not clearly see you pass between the four cans functioning as a finish grid. I did however announce as soon as you passed them that you missed the grid, and you had your chance for several minutes to fly back through the finish grid before the last racer finished his lap.
As for your capitalized comments, I'm sorry if I appeared to run the event badly, I had a lot to do, hosting this race by myself, and apart from a few late arrivals on the race marshal team, I felt this event went very smoothly.
Stay tuned everyone for the next event! Details will be posted in the events forum shortly!

Hmm, I should check the forums more for fun events :)
Shame I missed it. Can you post the winner(s)? and best time, worst time and average time if you got all that written somewhere ofcourse :P
I'd like to see the winner ship fitting as well... but then again, that would rapidly spoil the fun of future races. Half the fun is creating the fitting you think is best, the other half of the fun is finding out it didn't work as expected :P

Unfortunately we did not time races, and we did not log all the ship fittings, we simply checked every ship for the presence of restricted modules. The winner's name is Upsa, you should contact him and ask if he's willing to give away info about his ship.

Just as a reminder I will be working with Mr. Rigel (I love the sound of that) on future events. Pertaining to my earlier post as Akavari Entara, all operations will be done under this name, Ludvik Aldasteinnson, so there is no confusion. Hopefully now with two minds these races will pick up and have less stress on Julius.
Also, my apologies for missing today's race, but my hands were tied all day. I'm hoping the next race I will be able to help watch and keep an eye on things. (two eyes watching the finish line, hmm?)

As understand it, this was a free event made mainly for fun, So what did you lose?
If you are going to join an event then you follow the rules of the event. -

I have as of last night created a thread containing details about the next event.
It is located here.
I'd like to strongly encourage everyone who participated on Tuesday to go there and post any feedback and suggestions they have. I can't guarantee that all requests will be implemented, a few things pertaining to the design and operation of the track itself (I've had some suggestions concerning checkpoint naming conventions and such) are not things I currently consider changing. But I do guarantee that I will take your feedback seriously.
I'm especially looking for feedback concerning things like the race time, entry fees, ship and module restrictions, location and so on.
Once again, details about the next race can be found here.
