Wonder why Titan is not Ragnaros

Orivanna	Posted - 2008.08.07 02:24:00 - [1] I always wonder why Titan is not Ragnaros. I mean, Titan is big but they are just a ship and there are so many of Titan already. I always thought Titan should be like Ragnaros. It should be a mutli stage complex fight. Like, if Titan was Ragnaros and it got to 50% armor the Titan pilot would be like all you crew guys are gonna die anyway so go man emergency scramble fighter and defend Titan. And then at 25% Titan goes into reinforecd mode where it resists nuclear damage. BUT to make Titan more incentive to kill it should drop ubder loot liek "capital ship parts" that aren't really loot but mats for a super awesome ship rig. That will make Titan around the world farmable like Ragnaros and people would loot them and supercap inflation is no more

AKA, you're asking for magical events in a spaceship game while claiming you don't want magic, ships dont magically transform mid-battle, the only remote thing like this is the Rorqual deploying and the Dreadnaught Sieging, but those are explainable. A morphing titan just because it hit 50% hull aint, why would a ship being torn apart be able to "morph" into a more powerful ship? even more-so, why the f*** should it drop stuff that wasnt originally on the ship bar salvage?

Well, the first stage would be crew abandoning stuff like clone vat bays, cyno generators, and all other equipped stuff, and going for alert fighters. All stuff goes offline but Titan gets extra drones around to defend itself. And then as Titan hull gets damaged a gas vapor is released form it that inhibits nuclear fission thus weaker nuclear detonations!

Something that can destroy worlds and carry a fleet with it to defend it. Minus cap ships and BS of course. I feel to pull this off though you need to be able to use a cyno in a normal BS. Imagine though a ship capable of bringing a 500 man frig and cruiser fleet inside of it. Make it like a POS. The ultimate downfall of this ship is frigs could swarm it and some lucky sob would get the vent shot, but that is why it can carry frigs and cruisers of it's own. Also I think it would be more interesting to walk around in an alliance titan that a POS, which looks more like a dido than a station.

The main thing you need to know to understand the op is that it was one of the first multi-phase bosses in the game. Basically, there were three phases to rag, and you had to adjust your tactics to beat each phase
