Ok, well basically, i have top notch standings with both minnie and gallente from data centers, but my alt doesnt, and i have no wish to spend the amounts of isk on tags i did for Dylan.
So, i've heard mentioned a few times around the water cooler, is it possible to gang the alt and leave him in station and he would still get the standings increase from every mish/cosmos?

He will get standings to the corporations, but not to the factions as far as I know.

You will get an option to turn the mission in for gang if the gang member is in system, may also work in constellation but wont work if you are several jumps away, Ie at the destination of a courier mission, In this case the gang must follow the mission runner.
Faction Standings from storyline missions do not transfer to gang as mentioned above.

Actually you can be anywhere in EVE and get the corp standings from fleets. I had a trade alt in Perimeter (Forge) who received standings from my mission-running character in the Aridia region 33 jumps away. As stated above, you don't get faction standings this way. For faction standings you must accept missions with the character you want to gain factional standings with and then fly there to allow another character in fleet to warp to you to actually do the mission, (if you wish).

this is incorrect. i have tested and have confirmed this just this week. mission rewards, corp standings, and LP is all shared reguardless of fleet mates' location/s. sometimes a rleog is needed fo the standings and LP to show, but it is shared universe wide.
