Ok, new to the Pvp side of the game and not wanting to get my ass kicked could you let me know how to combat the warp and propulsion scrammbles. What counteracts them. Does an MWD or AB help pull away from either. Help and tips on what to train or buy would be handy before I turn egg shaped :) Cheers

Off the top of my head:
To Combat a Webifier: - Nos/Neut your opponents cap so they do not have the power to run the web. - Don't let yourself get into web range in the first place. - Use your own web as well as a MWD/AB to gain distance and get out of web range.
To Combat Warp Scramblers: - Nos/Neut your opponents cap so they do not have the power to run the scrambler. - Fit Warp Core Stabilizers. - MWD/AB out of range (depends on the scrambler/disruptor being used). ----- http://evenewb.blogspot.com/

I didnt think you could use MWD if you were warp scrambled. Is this not the case then?

Despite the fact that it makes so sense that you can't initiate 1 warp, you can, in fact, initiate a series of very small warps while "warp" scrambled. *chuckles*

No matter what you do, no matter how hard you study on it, how old or experienced or how many sp you have, someone is going to come along and kick your ass eventually. Best just go ahead and resign yourself to it.
But I strongly believe in surrounding yourself with people more copmpetent than you are. That way other harder asses may deflect the kick.
You see, EVE is all about ass.

i doubt many people will be carrying web and scram, as not may have the slots available..bar maybe tempest/raven, but those have other issues..

Until these proposed changes take place, MWD's work just fine when scrambled.
If/when those changes go through, (short-range) warp scramblers will disable MWD's but (long-range) warp disruptors will not.

Well me ishy does
Although post patch if i fly anything it'll be missile heavy; do you know, with the mas and mwd changes, it's tanking a mega 4 times as long to reach 3/4 the speed it does now? Almost not worth fitting mwds. ***The EVE servers and their patches*** |

Don't worry too much about getting blown up, just accept that it's going to happen. Sometimes its your turn to go home in a pod, sometimes its theirs... that's just the way it goes.
You'll probably get more than your fair share as you start too, it's all part of learning. A good idea is to start in cheap survivable stuff like frigates (T1 and T2). It'll be hard for people to get a hold on you before you slip away and it won't cost you much when you screw up.
You'll be able to pick your fights better and although you can't really do much besides tackle and kill small stuff in a frig, the smaller the hull the funner the fight (at least imo). A fight between two light gangs is a rockin good time that's hard to beat.
