Transilience Industries is an empire based, largely Caldari, corporation that is looking for a few friendly and well mannered players. New and old players alike are welcome. We are seeking mission runners, miners, manufacturers, researchers and traders. In order to be considered for membership, applicants must be on a paid account. There are no skill point requirements, no playtime requirements nor are there requirements to log any certain number of hours per week/month.
We offer support and guidance to new players looking for a role that suits their preferences. Miners and mission runners are offered renewing or static contracts for minerals from their ore and modules.
Absolutely NO piracy, thievery or macroing (of any kind) is tolerated within Transilience.
Probationary periods are required and usually last 1 month. Length of probation is dependent upon how much interaction the full members have had with the new member.
If interested contact Tobias Sorano for more information.
---------------------------------------------- Also.... Are you a low sec or 0.0 based corporation with a few good applicants that just dont meet your requirements per character but yet you like what you see in the player, whether it be attitude or aptitude? We at Transilience offer training support and a temporary home to your applicants. We can teach them the value of skills, the use of modules and viability of a variety of tactics. Dont discount those applying newbs just yet, let us mold their skills for you. Please contact Tobias Sorano, via eve-mail, to discuss further terms of association and business.

doesnt that clog up the # of contracts new players may be able to have assigned to them. That would make it hard to buy things on contract without training contracting up more wouldnt it?

No it doesn't. The way it works is we establish an agreement of what we pay and when the player is ready to sell, they put up a contract or transfer directly to the Corp and get paid immediately. This way they can play as little or as much as they want, and supply what they can when they can. We don't require a min or max, but supply a way for both the new play and the Corp to grow together. The ability to place actual contracts is not necessary. Plan for tomorrow, Strive for Today, can't let anxiety get in our way, so play play play! |

so rather than contracts, it's more of an open ended purchase agreement--- nifty, thanks

The amount of time you can play does not have a relevance to your benefit to the Corp or our benefit to you. Our Corp is one of sharing and teamwork, weather it for only 1 hour or 100 hours. If you are looking for a home, contact Tobias in game (he's on more then me) and we will see if we are a good fit for each other. Thank you for considering us.

Does Transilience want people like me?
I tend to like to live my virtual life dangerously.
I enjoy the challenge and adrenalin rush of PVP, and the tension of operating in dangerous areas where I might be attacked at any time. I get no joy out of making other peopleÆs lives miserable and do not gank, but quite enjoy the tactics of trying to avoid getting ganked myself, the diplomacy when trying to avoid trouble with potentially hostel piolets, and the adrenalin rush when hostilities do erupt.
I have about a week of EVE experience and have just completed my 10 intro Industry missions. I plan to head to low security space in the near future to setup a bit of a mining operation. Hopefully there are enough pirates out there to keep my virtual life interesting. I expect to learn quickly this way, and figure I might as well do it while I donÆt have anything too expensive to replace.
So am I right for Transilience?

1)Could you please go into more detail for your mineral purchase program.
2)Do you run mining ops? If so, how is the ore handled, and how are the miners reimbursed?
3)Mission ops? Access to Caldari corps?
4)Time zone of most of your players?
5)What sort of manufacturing does your corporation focus on?

I generally leave my restrictions to being on a paid account, however in this case of only a week of experience and the first 10 missions. I might suggest giving your ideas a try for what you want to do. While I do not discriminate based on skillpoints, I must say that a least a little(in the scheme of another week or 2) more experience and time to build a solid concept of your character's role would benefit you more at this time than Transilience. In a couple weeks if you are still liking the concept and goals/direction of Transilience then by all means drop me a mail in game and we can discuss it further.

Sure... 1) First, all ore, ice and modules/drone minerals can be refined at no loss so long as the material is at a location where the corp refiners have ample standing to incurr no losses from the use of the corporation's facilities. Minerals from any source (be it mining or from mission running) are purchased at prices derived from an average of the last 3 months for the lowest sell order in Jita. New prices are taken every 2 days and the average is recalculated and updated. If the corp can purchase adequate amounts on the market in high sec space of caldari regions without paying as much as Jita charges, a member will be offered that lower price instead. Neither the corp nor the members are obligated to participate in this type of transaction. If a member would rather take the time and effort to haul their goods elsewhere for a chance at more money then more power to them. If they do not like the average price or a lower price if one arises, they may take their minerals elsewhere or simply wait for a good time to sell it to the corp.
2) Mining ops are not exactly a daily routine for Transilience. We have people mining every day and they are encouraged to gang up for any mining bonuses that can be shared, however, as far as mining operations are concerned we generally find a Grav site once every week or 2 and anybody willing to support in any fashion is welcome. The proceeds from mining out a Grav site are divided up between parts of the corporation. The regular Kernite and half of the regular Omber are kept every time for mission runners to use for storyline missions. The remaining half of the regular Omber is sold on the open market, the income from which goes into the science and exploration division. The 5% and 10% ores are refined and the minerals have thus far been added to the corp's mineral stockpiles.
These activities are used as a way for members to give some time to the corp itself to help the corp profit in return for the fact the corp provides it's members immediate funds from their ore/mods.
3) Mission ops, well.... one day a week is used as corp mission day where everyone fleets together, everyone shares in the rewards and every single solitary piece of loot and salvage belongs to the corp. Otherwise, there are members running missions every day. Most all day every day in fact. I personally have 9.2 Caldari State and do regularly aid members in achieving standings with caldari corps.
4) We range from GMT +1 to GMT -8 Mostly grouped into GMT actual and GMT -5
5) Without going into any kind of detail on the exact items. I will leave it at that we currently run and support 20 manufacturing jobs of commonly needed mods/munitions. This is by no means an end goal, only the means to an end to reach our goals.
to learn more please mail or convo me in game.

Fair enough. I donÆt expect to need Corp support while I muck around for the first few weeks and try stuff out.
Maybe it would also be helpful if I note why I have taken an interest in Transilience over other guilds advertizing on this forum.
- Transilience seems to be setup with a mutual benefit relationship with its members, allowing them to do their own thing if they want, or to band together, without placing obligations on them.
- Although Transilience is a reputable corp (no lying, cheating, or piracy), it does not seem to be a high sec only corp. I am not comfortable being underhanded (in game or in real life) so I am fine with the above stated rules, although I have to say I really appreciate all the pirates and thieves out there that will make my virtual life interesting. I want to face the challenge of dealing with real, unpredictable, people, with all the tension that entails, so I donÆt want to be limited to high sec.
- It is nice to have a CEO who is online often and is dedicated enough to do the work that leadership requires. At one time I was President of a sporting organization as well as a guild master in another game so I have an idea of the time requirements of good leadership. From reading other posts, I gather that you are disabled and EVE is your main outlet. Frankly that gives me more confidence that you will stick with it and continue putting the time in to make Transilience a viable corporation.
- I am in GMT -4, putting me in the middle of your time zone spread.
It seems to me that as a Transilience member I could be a mission runner, a miner, a lookout, operational security, or an industrialist. Those seem like a lot of options, so I am sure I would find my niche. I will keep in touch.

Thank you for the info, I will be in touch.
I am now currently wondering how many people are around in your North America timezone at any one time? 5? 10?
I hate being lonely.
Also, do you have a public chat channel?

Currently we do not have a public chat channel, but since we are closing down open application (except those that have been speaking with us already like yourself) we will have one open by this weekend and I will post that channel info here. We are only closing the doors for a few weeks to let all the new members get to know us and each other.
As far as North America time players really depends on which day of the week, but Eastern is the largest time group by far, Central would follow and Pacific would have the fewest (none in Mountain Time). North American members range however in online play from 12:30 GMT until 06:00 GMT and during the prime hours for US playtime, yes about 6 to 9 players on average during that time. |
