I've been without sound, mainly due to the warp sound, for about 3 and a half years now.
what about you guys?
how long have you not had sound? and what's your reason?

I play with sound. I like the sound of clicking on objects, opening windows and doing stuff.
I must be weird.

I actually only switched the sound off so I could watch TV while playing and it's been off for about 2 years.
However I have recently put the sound back on, only to descover how loud the warp noise is compared to everything else.
It's a shame, the SFX and the music adds alot to the atmosphere.

yeah, i agree mate, i like fighting and clicking sounds but when it comes to the warp sound i just can't take it.
there was a day when we could disable it through fiddling with game files, but nowadays you just can't :|

I stopped playing with sound ages ago. I just think that the sounds in EVE need to be completely redone, although inevitably I'd turn them off again after a while to listen to my own music, or listen on TS.

I shut it off about 1 1/2 years ago. Hard to hear vent over the warp and guns sound on the headphones. I miss the pod squish sound.

Always playing with sound. I merely adjust the master volume to fit to whatever else I am doing. I hate having no audio feedback.

Eve has sound?
Oh i remember, it made me want to chuck my speakers through a window, that and crashed my PC whenever a laser/hybrid was fired.

Sound must be worked on. I dearly hope that, after the impressive FOLEY demonstration in the ambulation trailer at last years fanfest, a full sound remix is in the works.

I have always played with sound on. I love the warp sound in particular. So much in fact that I did a sig about it. Though I do turn sounds down a bit when in fleets, ofc.
If they ever change the warp sound, I want an option to put it back as it is now.

The sound engine had been upgraded to newer versions like 1 year ago. I might now work for your cases guys.
