That would be an exercise in futility.
If the servers are running optimal, the graphical lag will make it just as crap.
Quite happy I'm not involved - skill-free lagfest battles aren't what I play Eve for.

I don't think they can do it dynamically, only at DT

Even if they fix it server side client fps will be <1 fps for those with crap computers and you will die that way instead :/

we had a battle of nearly this size in curse well before the server improvements. It was playable, just, but still great fun.
Now it should be BAD but still fun.

Something needs to be done about decreasing the amount of lag that is caused by multiple objects on a screen, especially with lower-end video cards.

Take your graphic settings down a couple of notches before a battle like this, and also turn off all sound, I've noticed it helps a lot (Sound can be toggled with CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F12), atleast this helps a bit if it's not the server that's making the mess :)

eddz, the battle you speak of is msot likely the one PA - CoD,
its actaully a laugh, just before i logged off there was maybe 30 vs 30, amazing how you gathered that many ships.
i dont know the politics about this war, but i never engage in fleetbattles, i will spank ur indys though if this war goes on...

Yeah I remember that huge battle in HLW was totaly unplayable. CCP need to fix the graphics lag more then anything atm. I think the client needs sorting out bigtime!!

there is no way of reinforcing the servers without actually brining them down and then allocating nodes to you. so keep dreaming

We just had this discussion yesterday, the solarsystems as a whole need a permanent change in load factors for it to be effective, which is done in downtime.

Sound like great fun, except lag will prolly kill it. So graphics to 16 bit, run as program not window, disable logs and chatlogs, close all programs running outside game and you might have a small chance of anything happening :)

really, it's not that amazing :D if theres onething i've found out through my short PA membership, Venal being invaded by RKK, Evol and JF has _really_ charged up all members of PA, were well up for it which makes it even funnier that jades attempts at driving a wedge are only making the focus stronger.
