Wow what a long whine post. Dont even try to say its not, however carefully disguised its a whine. Basically all your saying is that people who have been dedicated to this game, to its design, and nature; are ruining it? Thats the most backwards crap arguemnt ive ever heard.
You do realize that there was a time when Tranquility barely had 7k peeps on at a given time, even on weekends. These people kept this game alive long enough for all the ungrateful ****s who seem to be joining in these days, to do so. You claim its too hard; too hard for newbs to find pvp; too hard for noobs to be effective in pvp; too hard for noobs to make money. Let me tell you this it sure is a **** load easier to do all that then when i started.
And im not some '03 char, not even '05, Nope i started my account 1/28/07. I took me weeks and weeks to be able to do anything with a shread of competence. And that is what I and so many others love/d about this game. That it weeds out the smart from the foolish, the persistant from the quiters. This is a game about action, and the reprocussions that follow. It took me flying my mining itty into a low-sec system and getting ****d to find out what sec-status was all about. Did i whine and cry that i just got killed by someone who obviously knew more about this game then i did? NO i kept on going, replaced my loss, and kept learning.
Also i really really HATE how you insinuate that all older characters as elitists, that you have to beable to fly everykinda ship to get into a decent corp, Thats bull shit, plain and simple. With less then 3 months in this game i joined up with a fantastic corporation, with the majority of the players having at that time played for atleast 2 years, many from launch/beta. There was no SP requirement, All that was asked was that i be willing to try, willing to learn, and most importantly WILLING TO DIE. That is same thing any corporation worth its salt will ask. I generally see SP requirements as a guage of dedication. Big corporations see their recruits as investments, and as such dont want to waste their time energy and money educating and supporting some 6m sp player whos only been in game for 4 months and will probably quit after another 2.
But yeah what a load of garbage, if my slacker ass can get into 0.0 after only been in the game for 3 months, hell i hadn't even flown a cruiser at the time; then theres no reason anyone can't. The reason you don't is either because u want shit on easy mode, you dont have the drive, determination, or intiative, you **** off everyone you talk to, or the one i feel is most likely correct, You are afraid.
What ever the case, it is your own shortcomings and no one elses fault. Elitism isnt the problem, cowardice is.
