5pinDizzy Amarr Umpteenth Podding	Posted - 2008.08.09 12:02:00 - [1] 1. Nullsec - Blobs Galore. 2. Lowsec - Faction War brought the blob to lowsec. I've seen pirate battleships get iced in seconds by 30 ravens and co. 3. Highsec - Empire Wardecs are going to be nerfed again. 4. Suicide ganking - Still almost nothing to a large gang with cheap tech1 cruisers or destroyers, but will now be Hugely expensive for a very small group or one person with a ubergank battleship or such. 5. Solo and Small gangs of miners will lose the economic war against huge blobs of farming barges now free from ganks. Some funny side effects noticed 1. Pirates joining a miltiia and ganking fellow militia members in lowsec. 2. Alliance members have been rounding up large militia gangs and bringing them out to nullsec to help them fight their nullsec wars.

As in numbers that completely nullify any possible tactic or advantage. I stopped caring though, forgot why I made this whine, lost my whine of thought. I think it was probably wanting more solar systems or something shrug

Now, on average, theres what 27-33k people on line at average? System's that I used to frequent, that were empty, now have people in all the time, Jita has quadroppled in local size, even without the roid belt's it used to have... So no, I'm not suprised solo pvp is much harder these day's, the only way it can be brought back is for CCP to implement an in-game organisation, that controls several system's, areas, with arena's and tournament's.

Being solo, most the time you will be underestimated which is probably the best advantage you can have. There is a rightful advantage to traveling in groups, there is a limit to what can be done by someone alone ignoring game mechanics that give a bonus to grouping. Some of us take pride in the journey and whom we consort not everything is just blobs, a lot of this game is reputation and from that you can tell where you will get blobbed.

Despite agreeing with the nano nerf, it goes hand in hand with the rest of the changes and makes about the only particular workable tactic for surviving/attacking against a huge blob weakened very considerably. True but it made small gang pvp over reliant on nano ships. People don't just fly them to counter blobs. Originally by: 5pinDizzy 7.
