In the spirit of Tribes 2 being released for free as I have seen. (if you never have tried to Google it out) its an FPS from 2001 and is the EVE of FPS imho 
Here is my idea of an event since I have never run one...
If you are confident of your abilities in the game you can duel me 2/3 for 10 mil ISK, entering the fight is only 1 mil ISK so you have a chance of a 10 mil profit (ill hand back 11 mil if you can beat me in a duel 2/3)... I hope this isnt against the rules or something because I am really interested in doing this event, maybe ill up the pot if there is some interest.
Contact me in-game or in the thread and we will set it up

T2 was great, the mods anyway. I played MD2 and mousemod. MD2 is still active but mousemod appears to be dead now.
That makes me cry

base was best, classic is for losers who can't let go of Tribes 1 and use real teamwork.
Syrinx was a cool mod but never took off because the guys who made it abandoned it.
base++ wasn't too bad.
Anyway... nice idea.

no problem with watching but I would love participants...
1 mil to enter with the chance of getting 11 mil back... What Tribes player couldnt pass that up?
I few lucky shots even if you wernt as talented and you make a huge profit

Heck, I'd just love to load up and play tribes 2. Never got the chance to play with anything more than bots. Spent weeks in T1 though...
You know I can think of a story that I can write on this...
"Gladitorial Games Announced: Tribal Warriors Welcomed!"

Base did suck, thats really why t2 did so badly.
Mousemod, one of the mods i played was great because it didn't change a lot. 2 key things it changed was the ability to run cloak/shield without it having draining your cap. Keeping them on would only slow your recharge rate.
Man, t2 does sound like eve..

I liked mouse-mod for everything except the 1 hit sniper kills... I am a religious anti-sniper.
And anyway ill be contacting you and hoping for yet more participants

I'm an active Tribes 2 player, and a memeber of the #1 Renegades team on the GWL ladder (screw you TWL). I accept the challenge, assuming we duel in base or on a DuelMOD server. Warning, I make some pretty sick MA's. ;)

I'm game. I still play T2 and am an avid fan of dueling and Arena. I will not be at home on my DSL connection for another 12 days though. Count me in after that! T2 name is Absu.
