I use hybrid turrets and know most skills needed to use them. However, don't know all the small skills that increase other aspects of them such as dmg and range. So what I'm asking is what would a "god" character's skills look like, and what charges should i use? I fly a navy megathron if that makes any difference. Thanks a million Member of SQR and The Kano Organization |

If you train Large Blaster/Rail spec, all you really need to train except the prerequisites is: Rapid Fire (L5 recommended, L4 will do fine) Surgical Strike (L4 or L5) Trajectory Analysis (L4 is usually enough)
Charges ? Antimatter for damage (Gallente of Caldari ammo for max damage)... Void for range (T2 guns only)

Okay thanks a lot. So i was just looking, what about motion prediction? Helps your tracking speed, that might be good too. Also, what is a good in between charge? Good damage, and range. I'm only 2 weeks from T2's, so i'll probably use void. Member of SQR and The Kano Organization |

Null has a range bonus of -25% and void 25%....so void is range and has more damage. According to EVE-O's item database. Member of SQR and The Kano Organization |

Don't ever go by the database, it is flawed and outdated. Additionally, the description provides a hint, in that Null has greater cohesion.
So let's try thinking for a second. Why would the longer range ammo deal more damage? What would be the point of the shorter range ammo? Why didn't this run through your head?
Null is 1.25x optimal and 1.25x falloff. More range, less damage. Void is .75x optimal and .5x falloff. Less range, more damage.
Both have tracking penalties. Now, faction antimatter has largely replaced Void, it has none of the nasty penalties and very nearly the same damage, but none of the faction ammos have replaced T2 long-range variants.

It did run through my head, but then again i've never used T2 ammo so i was so sure. I'm on vacation and was just doing some research and going by the EVE-O database, guess i shouldn't do that. So i figure T2 ammo has a relation to the T1 version of it, range and damage wise. Alright, thanks a lot for your help. Member of SQR and The Kano Organization |

Anything helps. I've been doing all my gunnery skills with the idea of " little bit of that, a little bit of those..." Then you up those to lvl4, lvl5 and soon you notice that hey..it's a killing machine :) I've noticed that training Weapon upgrades and Advanced weapon upgrades are probably the most effective when you can fitt strongers guns. If I could turn back the clock...I would train those first.
For example with blasters...jump from ion to neutron...oh baby! Not sure, but i think it's faster to get better guns that to get better skills for using crappier guns, but when you have both... ;)

Another reason thats a good idea i because weapon upgrades 5 is a prerequisite for so many higher endish ships. A fine line between the two is prolly the best but the concept you have is really sound.
