I don't think it is forum message boards that influence the executives meddling, i think it is just sheer lack of understanding about what makes a good game

Not a single change to the game is based on anything that any player posts on this forum.
They are all made based on what's going on in the game between the devs up in Jove space. If a senior dev up there got pwned by a junior dev in a nano Ishtar last week, yours is going to be nerfed this week, for no other reason than the senior dev doesn't want to get pwned again and get razzed at staff meetings.
The CSM? C'mon, you have to know that's the dev's version of "Rick Roll". They send videos of the sessions to each other as file attachments that are supposed to be code, then crack up when someone got "CSMed" again. The comic relief is well worth the price of flying a herd 'o geeks up there.
Sorry guys, you're playing their game, and you only think they're listening, not just laughing.
this is the most sense the forums have producted in a longer version of shorten time-diemension, gaahhh, my brain is on firasploding!
how about we all just "play" the game and not forum ma st R b at e to it?

I'm afraid you couldn't be more wrong there, there is actually a hell of a lot of thinking and strategy that goes into being very very good at twitch games its just that you also have to have quick reflexes and of course they might be fun too. 
And can you honestly say that if eve did go twitch without changing any of the rest of it that there would suddenly be no thinking and no strategy?
Didn't think so.....
PS yes I am proudly a member of the twitch and realism camps. |
