So I joined a new corp and I need to move far out in 0.0, more than 40 jumps. Now I plan on selling everything I own here in my old region before heading out, but I have one question left: - What ship will get my there most likely without getting podded? I have to fly through a lot of enemy space.
- My (basic) insured Ferox with 4xWCS and MWD. Continue in pod if possible? - A fast frigate with 2xWCS and MWD? - A shuttle? - My pod?
Something else I should think of? Thanks in advance for any helpful tips. |

Edited by: Culmen on 14/08/2008 07:53:20 The frigate is the best of the list its most likely going to get blasted at the first bubble camp but its the least likely of the lot to die
My personal recommendation is to skill up for a cov-ops its worth the isk and the time, believe me i hardly ever risk long range 0.0 travel without something that warps cloaked
ok lets think through the most likely senarios you jump through a gate, theres a dictor with a 20km + bubble, assorted tackle and multiple battleships
1)Ferox: webbed, tanks for 10 seconds, then gets ganked 2)Shuttle: webbed, pops 3)Pod: pops 4)Frig: has the potential for a miraculous run out of bubble range, other wise more likely, tackled, then popped
5)Cov-Ops: Cloaks, fair chance ceptor will bump and decloak, but equally likely makes it out of bubble range and warps away |

Cov-ops Interceptor Vigil/other uber fast frig with i-stabs and nanos (I refuse to fit WCS)
And a MWD on all of them.
You can try with other stuff, but those are your best bets with 40+ jumps |

personally take a MWD frig nano'ed WCS will not help with bubbles, dictors or heavy dictors...

Oh yeah, ask around if any of your alliance/corp has a carrier or the like they should be able to bring up your stuff if you ask nicely/actually trust them
also if your corp has offices in 0.0, simply dock up at your nearest empire station with a cloning facility change your home base to the 0.0 station, make sure your clone is up to date and you don't have implants plugged in, then eject in your pod and self destruct |

Covert Ops is the best option.
Barring that an Interceptor or fast frigate. Work on a fit for speed don't worry about WCS like the others said.
Thoughts expressed are mine and mine alone. They do not necessarily reflect my alliances thoughts. |

Edit - oops, just like wot they said ^^

A good covert opps is the best I have found. If you need to fully move to 0.0, fly there in a covert opps and get a cap pilot to jump your stuff out for you.

Any fast T1 frigate will get you there if you take precautions.
That said, an interceptor or cov-ops is your best bet.
My opinions represent the opinions of my corporation completely. I'm the CEO damnit. |

Thanks for the answers. As my total assets now consist of one ibis I think I'll be going for the suicide clone thing.

if you'r corp has a station or office at a station with cloning service out there..then simply just pod jump over.. in other words; make sure your clone is up to daye, set cloning station "out there", undock in you'r pod, and self destruct!
if not, what others has said, covert-ops or fast frigg/interceptor
Cheers! Fogy

Your corp should be able to help get equipment there.
A cloaked intie or cov ops should do well for you.
The only thing you should really have to watch for is getting pulled into a bubble while warping to an outbound gate. You can avoid this most of the time by bouncing off a planet or w/e and coming from an odd direction.
You could also get caught by in a large bubble gate camp if you get decloaked, but using your mwd and then cloaking should prevent that from being too much of an issue.
You can also go right after downtime, that should lighten up the local gate presense.

Sell all your ships, set your clone to the new station and pod yourself. Buy new ships there and have fun.

Edited by: AleRiperKilt on 14/08/2008 17:40:25 Find the fastest most agile frigate you can fly and fit Inertia Stab, if you have lows left put nanofiber. Fit cloak, mwd optional but will help.
With this configuration the only way to get you is if you get sucked to a bubble aligned to the gate you are flying to (and there is a smartbombing BS waiting for you). To get around this, when you see people in local, fly to planet closer to gate, then to gate.
Safest of all is to use a covops.

Once there, be sure to buy a Jump Clone (and get the Jump Clone skill BEFORE you pod yourself there)
Play nice while you butcher each other.
