One thing to think of when ASKING a game manufacturer, dont ASK them to "hurry" as if they hurry, you'll probably find some way to pod yourself every time you try to change skills from out of game.
IF they plan on doing it, it'll be when it's working correctly in due time.

the way i understood it, i thought the majority of eve's ui database stuff was based on html compatible code? like teh skills sheet and market and what-not...
after all, if it is just a database, i see no reason why they cant add this feature.

CCP, please don't do this...
it would make absolutely no sense to make a game mechanic accessible outside of the game...

deadlyblade, you could give your username / password to someone you REALLY trust (prefrebly someone you know in RL).
Then ask them to start the skill you want
but remember to buy a baseball bat just in case... (j/k )

you're probably right, deadlyblade. it won't "hurt" the game. but it might take away from the immersion of it. i don't know. i *would* like it, but i'd also *not* like it. i just think that game mechanics should be handled in game. and, besides, who knows what horrible security exploit will come of it?
my vote goes to leave it ingame. but at a 2-skill queue option. or the popular "train the same skill until level 5" idea...
