I believe you can unlock one if you train to level 5 all the skills in the game.

Just jump to Polaris and talk to the agent there, he'll open up a mission line to become a Jove.

Jove will be unlocked via a series of quests through a village. Once you have completed these quests CCP will then announce that Jove wil no longer be an exclusive race, and everyone can now play as the elusive jovians.

1) Study for something in ICT (Computer Engineer, 3D Artist, stuff like that)
2) Learn Icelandish (Russian will do  )
3) Apply for a job with CCP (Eve-online project ofc)
4) Get accepted
....

Actually I heard there is a hidden jump gate in a undisclosed system that if you find it and talk to the agent and run the mission he offers you, you can unlock the jump gate only for yourself however.
Apparently the only way to find him is use a deep space probe ?
CCP have set it so this NPC ship can actually be scanned down.
Problem is you don't know what system the gate is.
Apparently it is a pirate jump gate so its location could be almost anywhere.
THe clues to its location are in the lore of the Jove Empire, so I have heard.

Also, this gate is guarded. You have to fight off some Jovian NPC's, and boy, they are tough. I heard a story of a guy who found it, but he couldn't tank the Jovian rats.
Also: the hidden gate jumps systems.

Oohhhhh so it is set up like a exploration complex.
Once it is completed it disappears and respawns somewhere else after the next down time.
THat explains it.
Need to remember to bring a cyno pilot along I guess.
THat would make return trips rather easy.

Actually, as far as i heard is respawns every few hours, maybe every day. As far as i know only one person found it, but he didn't make it to the gate himself due to the rats. They deal BIG damage. Wasn't to far off from CONCORD ships from what he told.

I just saw some Jove ships on Youtube, and they look COOL. Maybe the Jove could atleast be NPCs. Maybe they finally oneday open up their borders, and we can see things like Jove Industrial ships, those would look awesome.
