Dear dev's
my serious question is:
WHEN can my alliance mates playing on mac computers log in to eve again?
This thread is now two days old and still nothing happening, no info, no nothing.

ARE you AWARE that some players are currently can NOT log in the game without
downloading 5gb of data every day, every patch, every "emergency reboot" you do?
Nothing?
Is that your last serious answer?
Are you aware that people stop playing eve when they payed for it and they are unable to play that game?
My mates at least awaiting a statement from ccp if there is any ambition to solve this issue or not. |

This. If you have the cash to waste on a mac you have the cash to buy a cheap PC. I'd love to know how many subs are macs to see how much time CCP wastes supporting it. |

I love my mac so much, it is by far one of the most durable and reliable lap tops I've ever had.
However, Eve runs very poorly on mac anyway. Not because of the hardware, mind you, but just because it's better optimized for Windows.
Try getting your friends to dualboot their computer with a windows partition if they can and put Eve on that just to play it there. I guarantee you it will run faster for them if they do that. |

I dunno how well linux will run on your mac but eve works great in wine once you get it tweaked.

I don't want something running an OS that with the first install of something alien to it goes bonkers. Where support people after things go bonkers send me into the freaking BIOS that makes things even worse then it was before. That takes 10 minutes every freaking day to day for this or that, that leaves old drivers behind craps out on new drivers, or just plain stops working because I plug in a new device or freaks me out being online because god knows what virus, malware, spam ware or add ware I got now by just watching an ad.
I've been there, multiple times.
No more.

1. Windows 7 is amazing, while Mac OSes just confuse me and seem difficult to change in any way
2. Windows is easy to fix
3. Lern2Antivirus. Malwarebytes, an AMAZING AV, can be obtained for free, or paid for if you want it to actively check everything that goes on.
