I liked the speed changes on SiSi, however, i do have to agree on some level with the /crying about nano being dead and /blaw blah blah.. so, i suggest that we keep what we like and sort of rescale the part of it we don't
-the new webs= ace, non stacking 60% max webs is a good idea, provides for much more close range survivability and much needed range control for faster, smaller ships with close range weapons.
-the new scram, imo is a very good idea.. if this weren't here inties and af's etc with close range weapons (taranis) would own things in light of the new webs.
-the way the speed/agility change really put ships in their own classes and the way the stacking penalty really defines ships with more specific roles (roles that work/are not broken)
My proposal then is to keep the progressive scale the speed nerf entailed but instead of completely reworking the gunnery tracking/missile speed to make it work.. simply scale up the speed of every ship in the game by a small percentage.
i propose something from x1.08 to x1.10
this would greatly effect fast speeds and slightly effect slow ones. (my heating for proposed idea is x1.5.. not perfect.. but it'll do)
i.e. megathron with mwd on tranquility 1213m/s + heat 1741 megathron with mwd on EFT 7.2.1 927m/s + heat 1325 megathron with mwd x1.08 1001m/s + heat 1501 megathron with mwd x1.10 1020m/s + heat 1530
myrmidon with mwd on tranquility 1205m/s + heat 1718 (slower than mega ) myrmidon with mwd on EFT 7.2.1 1075m/s + heat 1522 (thank god!) myrmidon with mwd x1.08 1161m/s + heat 1741 myrmidon with mwd x1.10 1183m/s + heat 1774
thorax with mwd on tranquility 1590m/s + heat 2272 thorax with mwd on EFT 7.2.1 1387m/s + heat 1975 thorax with mwd x1.08 1498m/s + heat 2247 thorax with mwd x1.10 1526m/s + heat 2289
not a huge difference with these guys?
Vanilla fit Vaga t2 fit with polys and full HG snakes (this is your two odi, 1 nano, 2 poly variety)
Vagabond with mwd on tranquility 9013m/s + heat 13.1km/s (wowzorz) Vagabond with mwd on EFT 7.2.1 4017m/s + heat 5714m/s (ouchnerf) Vagabond with mwd x1.08 4338m/s + heat 6508m/s Vagabond with mwd x1.10 4419m/s + heat 6629m/s
Vanilla Crow with polys and snakes
Crow with mwd on tranquility 13.2km/s+ heat 19.2km/s Crow with mwd on EFT 7.2.1 6335m/s + heat 9050 m/s Crow with mwd x1.08 6842m/s + heat 10.2km/s Crow with mwd x1.10 6969m/s + heat 10.5km/s
But we're worried about more common speed fits dieing post-patch so
so here is the Crow standard fit 2 odi, 1 nano, no polys no HG slave set
Crow with mwd on tranquility 6628m/s + heat 9568m/s Crow with mwd on EFT 7.2.1 4890m/s + heat 6985m/s Crow with mwd on x1.08 5281m/s + heat 7922m/s Crow with mwd on x1.10 5379m/s + heat 8069m/s
I feel like a change somewhat similar to this will significantly help the fast ships maintain their survivability while keeping the separation of ship classes without having to alter game mechanics further. at least get a standard t2 vaga with polycarbs and no snakes up to 3600m/s without heat. suggestions? I know I ran on.. for a long time :D
