Edited by: Tamia Clant on 17/08/2008 22:45:57 A few days ago, Firefox suddenly decided that some pages simply needed to be italicized. (google search pages, or wikipedia, for example) At first I thought it had something to do with a firefox update, but after trying the browser on another computer, it didn't show the same problem.
I thought it was my installation gone haywire, so I decided to uninstall it, and took the opportunity to try Firefox 3. (was using 2 before) So after installing it, I'm pleased to find I got rid of the italics galore, but now the same stuff that was once italic is now bold! I swear my browser is having a laugh at me right now...
Anyone know a way of fixing the issue?

Edited by: Tamia Clant on 17/08/2008 22:50:48 Err... it seems Internet Explorer also got hit by the "italics are awesome" problem. Could be related to the operating system?
EDIT: Oh crap, I just recently installed Service Pack 3... Damn it!

I had the very same issue myself. Let me guess... it italicizes the ARIAL font
Go into the windows fonts dir, and open all arial fonts with a font viewer. Reboot. Repeat if necessary.
Problem solved

Thank you, I'll try that.
And yeah, it's the Arial font.
