EVE is repetitive. I therefore suggest animating the ships a little more than current. Perhaps an animation of the drone docking bay doors opening & closing to deploy the drones, & seeing them enter & leave the ship. Maybe animate the missiles actually leaving the missile tubes. I think many ships could do with animating to make them a bit more lively and interesting to watch. I understand that the Tristan almost had a combat mode, which was later ditched. Why? That would have been great. So a player could 'see' the stance of another ship by it's posture. Much like the Earth/Minbary misunderstanding from Babylon 5.
Or the dreads changing shape when entering siege mode, ie: giant fins folding out like 'The Last Starfighter'(movie).
I also think the wrecks should look like the ship they once were, but with catastrophic damage visible, such as a huge shredded exit hole on the side where the capacitor reactor blew out the hull. & perhaps it could slowly vent plasma or gases into space creating a small gas cloud.

The dreads do have an animation for siege mode. Also give ccp a way to do without adding more lag.

I don't think it would add more lag. Everything would be handled client side.
Having never flown a dread, what actually happens when entering siege mode, from a graphical animation perspective...?
Also, it would be useful if you could see a ship venting heat when overclocking.

I hope they do. They have proven that they have the talent with Trinity. We need a little mroe tho'. The ships need to 'feel' mechanical and heavy and industrial through their actions and not just shiney metal skins.
