I know that the average age of EVE Online players is up there so I thought that this is very proper to post. For all those that have already or are dealing with a loved one struggling with Alzheimers or those that may have familial history of Alzheimers. If this does not apply to you but you know someone that it does apply to let them know about this. This could be huge  and could help 5 people that I currently work with.
The following article is the most reffered article I could find on the subject due to me not having easy access to a medical database. The theory popped up around 2004-2005 and the research that North Western started is still in the early stages. If this ends up being, true Alzheimers could potentiall lose alot of the bite it once had.

I also think it might help 5 people I work with...oh no, they're just idiots 
I hope the get this cure sorted tout suite so Terry Pratchett can write dozens more of his excellent books !

Interesting if true. But what to do about it? You can't just pump insulin into Alzheimers patients like you can with diabetics, they'd just have hypos all the time. |

True, but that is why it is in the early stages of research. We will just have to wait and see what types of ideas that they come up with to wiggle around this pretty big flaw.
