Rapier Fleet are looking to recruit pilots of any age, skill level or profession.
Who is Rapier Fleet? :- Rapier Fleet is a newly formed, small (for the time being) corp set up by a mature group of time-served (40-60m SP) and combat experienced pilots that have been at the forefront of major 0.0 battles and who have lived for years in some of the most volatile space in the universe surrounded by 'reds'. These pilots will tell you stories about how we would deploy in the heart of hostile territory, living out of carriers, for weeks at a time with the task of disrupting enemy infrastructure and, with guerrilla style force, inflicting billions of ISK worth of damage and incurring minimal losses.
So what now? :- Our aim is to use our experience to build an effective group of pilots who's primary aim is to have fun. We will not be one of those corps that just exists to make ISK from it's pilots or use them as a meatshield for a few guys at the top to fill their wallets....but one that is the central hub for a group of friends that log in to enjoy the game. A corp where it's members can improve themselves in all aspects of the game with help from other members....where you can learn anything from PvP basics to capital warfare or mining to T2 invention....where you can get some good pewpew action....and lastly, but most importantly, a place where you can do all this and have a good laugh along the way.
Rapier Fleet's current campaign is the participation in Faction Warfare for The Minmatar Republic. Our intention is to use FW as a 'bedding in' environment for new recruits. Once we have the numbers we will be moving back to 0.0 space.
So what does Rapier Fleet expect from you? :- We don't have any strict requirements or expectations of our members. We would prefer that anyone interested in joining has somewhere in the region of 4-5mil skill points but we would be willing to be a little leniant on this if we think you will make an excellent addition to the corp.
There are a few things that you won't have to do:-
- Although we are primarily a PvP outfit, you are not obliged to PvP if you don't feel you are ready to or if you simply just prefer to do missions or to mine.
- We will not expect you to corp mine.
- You won't have to set your alarm clock for 04:00 and be ready, matchsticks propping your eyes open and double espresso in hand, for a fleet operation.
- You won't have to sit for hours shooting at POS's.
- You won't come back after a week away and find you have been kicked from the corp for inactivity.
We do, however, encourage members to use our Teamspeak server....even in non-combat situations as it breeds friendship, co-operation and camaraderie.
We also ask that you maintain a fairly good standing with The Minmatar Republic as this is a requirement for the corp's current activity, the participation in Faction Warfare. We do have something in the way of a buffer to compensate for new members joining but the higher your standing the better as it means we don't have to grind too much to improve it again.
Our only major requirement is that you have fun and be a part of the team.
We are, for the moment, primarily an EU timezone based corp and we have members from The UK, The Netherlands and Scandinavia....although where you come from is not an issue. We will also be looking to recruit US timezone pilots as some of our members, myself included, generally cross well into US timezone. We also have allied corps that have US timezone members. Pilots in Oceania timezone are also welcome to join.

Ah yes, i forgot. The famous 'One Shot, One Kill' club.
I'll not give too much away but if you have ever been in a system and seen 30+ ships on the overview named 'One Shot, One Kill' then you will know what i mean. These ships are generally not flown in a very orderly fashion and only tend to engage anything smaller than 5 Titans. A good pair of laughing bags and a large bottle of your favourite cell killer are required. |

We accepted a new recruit yesterday who came out for his first PvP experience last night and scored his first kills, got his ship home intact and had a fun time flying with us! We have another applicant in the pipeline. We are growing! Be a part of it! |
