I've been looking at the different refining modules you can add to a POS... Now, how do they work?
The normal Refining Array says to have a yield multiplier of 0.35 and an operational duration of an hour. The Medium Intensive one says 0.75 yield multiplier and 1:30 hours. The Intensive one is way larger in cargo, has 0.75 yield multiplier and it takes 3 hours to refine everything...
Now, my skills are rather good at refining (I have 0% Waste at all 50% stations) - how does this POS Refinery react? Does it refine my ore with 25% waste even if I have the perfect skills?

Yep, they act as a 50% base refinery but are CAPPED at 35% and 75%. ICE has no refine cap though so you can get 100% with skills, so for anything other than ice, avoid POS refineries except as an absolute last resort in some hidden deep 0.0 system somewhere in hostile space.

Basically, with maxed skills you can't get 100% out of the Refinery Arrays. Starting at 35%, your max yield is 96.88% with Refiner Efficiency and Ore Processing both at 5.
With the Intensive arrays, the 75% does better. You get 100% no matter what your skills are (even 0/0). But the penalty is the time it takes to run it and the fuel costs to run the module.
We found that compression is a much better way to go. In 0.0, we run the Rorqual and compress our ore and then jump it to the nearest NPC station for refining. This works out better in the long run.
Ice is another story. We use the regular arrays and run compressed Ice through them. Less fuel costs and 100% yield.

Also wrong.
You can ONLY get a MAXIMUM of 35% and 75% respectively for the normal and intensive arrays for ore. Ice however can reach 100%.
