Adobe Photoshop and the handy images.google.com usually do it,
if you need a little more personalized stuff, like
some fancy ship or other environment that you just can't
do in ps, use <love>Maya</love>.

Paint shop pro 8 personaly could never afford photoshop and dont want the hassle at the mo of learning a whole new paint packege

Photoshop 7, anything else would be uncivilized. Mix in a little Adobe Illustrator for precision typography and you're golden.

Photoshop, Studio MX (Included flash, dreamweaver, fireworks etc etc), Very limited Maxon Cinema 3D.

I use Photoshop 7, It's the best photoshop I think from Adobe.
