What do those who got a taste of it think about it? Is it going to be another epic failure like AOC? Please stay constructive, and state when you tried the beta. Things apparently have changed a lot in the past few weeks and months, so the opinion of someone who played for a week 6 months ago is to be taken with a large grain of salt.

The backstory and the setting however are pretty good, the Tome of Knowledge thing is quite fun too. Oh goody, a 6.5GB patch, guess I left it without updates for to long...

I get mad everytime I see that movie because it shows a slayer in it and yet they wont have the slayer class. It's not warhammer without a freakin slayer! Rhatar Khurin Minmatar	Posted - 2008.08.19 16:17:00 - [15] It wasn't a beta test as such as it's already had two betas tests before lol and was deemed unplayable and was quickly removed off the servers for a complete redesign. At first the game was quite unique and quirky. but everytime it's reworked it just get more homogenized and a "wowy" Anyone that thinks this game will be hardcore pvp and something special will be bitterly disapointed as it's MMO by the numbers. My advise is play LOTRO or WoW if you like fantasy MMOs as WAR is inferior to both.

WoW is ok for the slap happy no stress feel good type of play although questing gets boring after a while (collect 6 of X, 8 of Y) but then again how many times have I done Angels. The down side however is the mentality that plays the game and while I've seen the same here it's just not in the abundance like there is on wow. It is amusing to **** them off though. LOTRO I though was a beautiful game (graphics wise) and the scenery made me feel like I was actually there (It's awesome going from point to point and saying I know where that is!), BUT, the PvMP was really poorly done and several classes (namely the captain and the archer) were grossly unbalanced. In both cases I couldn't stand the chat box setup.

ceaon Gallente Porandor	Posted - 2008.08.20 16:15:00 - [27] today i played again a bit on this beta what i dislike - use 1,3 GB ram - low fps on 1680x1050 even if i get a 9800 gtx - shadows some times because a square usually after y play allot and whit many ppl in the area - female character (when the character windows go bugged) dont have a proper underwear - npc/mailbox filter dont work only quest,merchant - when u fly to a capital city big chances to get a CTD - when u fly the sound of that "bird" is constant even if is far away - when u respecialize your character have to relog - u get money for everything u get bonuses for money in rvr - u get XP from all placed even if u talk to a named npc and also xp in rvr and a bonus ability - characters have "choking detection" so u can be blocked by any afk - elf look very gay - engineers spawn a box bigger that them to make a turret - no chopa what i like - is like counter strike respawn die respawn - cannons make good damage - guard npc reset aggro very fast - dwarf helicopters are funny - chaos npc have good voices - chaos land is well done i will put more laterÖ

Or, alternatively: - I do have a 22" screen but don't have a 9800GTX so am just complaining about fps when I don't have a good video card to go with my screen. - I don't have enough RAM so am going to complain about memory usage. - I have 2GB RAM or more and am going to complain anyway, not realising that most modern games use up 2GB of RAM. Call of Duty IV will use up all of your RAM, Crysis will eat your system, EVE itself will eat your system when you start running more than two accounts (try a quad core with six). - Elf looks just as gay as it does in Lineage II, WoW or any other half baked MMO but I never played those games so I wouldn't know. - How dare Female characters not have proper underware! As a feminist I'm offended by the lack of decency. - GET TO THE CHOPPA!!! Other than that I have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to CTD, the AFK thing or the RVR money bonus money issue. The relogging of the account after reskilling is irritating but it's a minor irritation as long as it's not bug riddled and can be solved (doesn't mean it will of course). Also I don't understand the AFK choking smoke detector or the 'bird' as you just make statements then don't explain for those who haven't played the beta and will have to wait for the release. The fact that WAR is a pvp game is obviously wasted on you. The game was never touted as PVE so it's very much PVP orientated. You must not understand that the XP yo gain from PVP is to encourage even more PVP. Oh and did I mention GET TO THE CHOPPA YOU QUIRE BOY?
