Recently flew there via Icelandair on a layover enroute to Amsterdam. Nifty looking place, and coats in June! Hmmm. I noticed at least one very small "mountain" I suppose you'd call it, near the airport, completely black without anything growing on it at all. Are those things volcanic? And the glaciers off in the distance (WAY off in the distance I think) looked pretty cool.
The wife wants to spend a couple days in Iceland next time we're passing through, but I'm not convinced. What the heck is there to do there (aside from visiting CCP)? Looked pretty flat and bleak to me, no trees or anything. |

There's a hell of a lot to do, and it's an awesome country. No doubt there'll be a CCP thread hijack incoming in a few minutes with a list as long as the great wall of china...
I'm pretty set on emigrating either there, or to Japan sometime in the next few years when I have the pennies.
Still saving.

Okay, lots to do there, great . . . but you still haven't said WHAT.
And don't forget, we're talking one or two days max, just an extended layover (which Icelandair promotes, my wife tells me).
I could have looked at Icelandair's website, but I figured I'd get just as good a response here.
I wouldn't mind seeing CCP either, just wouldn't want it to be the primary thing. It would bore my wife to tears. |
