I think E-bay has done more damage to this game then Tank CEO or any of the other Griefers. When a person can BUY an account that has been worked up from scratch and is now a power full character. Thats just not right.
When the game wont allow you to expel corp members that have stoped playing, That is not right.
But when Ebay and that bug are together...well. All that hard work down the drain. All them rare spawn items that we worked so hard on. All them original prints...
Ours Was Nikki Nova, But I heard others that have had the same thing happen to them.
When will CCP Ban these real life thiefs?
Why can the loyal players of Eve get their items and prints back?
Think about it Corp Hanger thiefs are takeing your "time" away. They are stealing what you spent several hours on line getting. In my book that is a felony Grand Theft. Its lower then low.
CCP you really need to fix this.
Free-form Professions, ensure no limetations on professions. Be a trader, fighter, industialist, researcher, hunter,pirate[/i] or mixture of them all.

A thief must first be given hanger access , so you actually brought it upon yourself. Giving any player you do not fully trust access to all you hangers and then placing expensive items in such hangers is very easilly prevented.
Any player in your corp who complains they do not have sufficient hanger access has other motivations and should not be trusted.
On your point of not being able to kick inactive players from your corp , a simple "other" petition to the GM explaining what you are wishing to do but cannot will usually get a favorable response and assistance.
Your Mega Afocal Pulse Maser I perfectly strikes Asteroid (Veldspar) [R0ME], wrecking for 798.3 damage.
Your 425mm Railgun I perfectly strikes Guardian Captain, wrecking for 685.9 damage.

Nikki Nova Was an inactive player. Had not been on for allmost 6 months. And yes we did try to get GM help...Nothing happened. Then one Day "nikki" came back. But nobody else was on at the time so "Nikki" took all. Went running with a years worth of hard work. I could not do anything cause "Nikki" was a director with full hanger access. THAT was what the post was about Not a new character but a character that was sold on E-Bay and noone had the ability to stop the theft.

hmms then blame your CEO for not removing his damn access rights.
CEO, corp button, members, find nicki, edit member, remove all options tada, just a normal new player.
with no access to anything its easy.

Yeah if you want to kick a player from the corp why did you still have him as a director..

Why did you allow an inactive member for 6 months have access rights, are you just asking to be stolen from. If you dont see someone log on for awhile, you try to contact them, if you cant, revoke rights and wait for the email. Any director should be active, if not their not director material. YOu were just waiting to be stolen from.

E-Bay and other auction sites have been the number 1 target for MMORPG game companies over the past 7 years.Somehow i don't think EA, mythic, CCP, SOE or anyone else is going to come up with a watertight solution to the account sale problem.
Also, there are numerous scammers out there who sell their account without notifying CCP of an official 'account transfer' and can then legally claim the account back since its still in their name.Its allot of work just to scam someone, but then again we're talking big sums of dollars here.So there is always a risk for the buyer to get scammed out of his cash.

I played EnB for about a year and saw what sites as E-Bay did to the game, only lamers go off and buy an account, you get this awesome BS account with some nice ships, but the first action you meet your dead cause what are all those buttons for. But allowing someone to keep full hangar access for 6 months while offline might tend to be a bit too much trust, just revoke the access and send an EVE mail explaining why you revoked them and that you can return them in time if need be. So yes E-Bay is lame, but letting someone who is offline for several months keep full hangar access is not smart allso

Seems to me though, that its mainly people with existing accounts that buy up E-bay sold accounts. This rules out the n00b nature of the player in many cases. As for the corp theft in this manner, thats a bloody awful thing. Its most likely been commited by an existing eve player.

I think that if CCP really wanted to exploit the cash-for-items market, they would do something similar to Gunbound where you can simply send the company money and they will give you in-game funds.
I mean, it would hardly unbalance the game. If someone wants to spend MORE of their real-life hard earned money on Eve: Online why shouldn't they accept it?
Sell battleships for 39.95(+/- 20% for popularity), Sell isk for 1$ - 1 million or batches of 100 million for 95$ or something. If Ebay is exploiting the cash-for-items trade, why doesn't the company (CCP) just beat them to it?
I don't wanna get called names or nothing, but I wouldn't be against blowing 20$ on some isk if my paycheck's feeling good next month... and who better to profit by it than CCP? It would really help to support those players who don't want to mine or build anything or be productive in any way.
Heh. You might even offer % discounts to people depending on how much ore they've mined in game, give those of us who spend hours sitting in asteroid belts a bit of a break for supporting the economy...

Dont take this wrong but some of you dont read to well...I cant spell but what the heck.
1. There was a bug involved, cannot expel member due to member logging out in space.
1a. Just could not expel
2. Gm help was requested, but you know how that goes if your not online when they get to your petetion its put on the back burner. Look at both of the post.
So if it was our fault so be it, But the CEO tried on numerous occasions to remove these inactive members. As a director I removed hanger access to all I could.
Nikki Nova came back saying it was the same owner. False was not in fact the same account owner.
As for how long I will keep this up till that person puts in escrow for either the CEO or a director every item he took.

Hi Roshan Longshot,
I can only suggest that you make a petition to the GM's about your situation, clearly stating what you attempted to do, and also what has happened.
The GM's will do their best to help you out.
I wish you good luck with your petition, however I must close this thread because posts regarding online auction sites are not permitted.
