I remember that there was a separate value on the command line to not use the settings in the user's home directory. I have SiSi all patched up, but haven't started it up cause I don't want to clobber all my TQ settings. Anyone recall what this is?
thanks

It will not clobber your settings, as the settings are now stored in a path that includes the name of the server.
That commandline option that you remember is obsolete: it doesn't do anything any more.

Does not clobber? ok, because i remember a time when there were some common settings, like warning popups for one and maybe even autopilot.

Edited by: Koyama Ise on 22/08/2008 23:38:47 All the settings are stored in separate folders Vista "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\*\settings\" XP "%APPDATA%\CCP\EVE\*\settings\"
* is a bit difficult to explain but I'll try Take the EVE folder as "<DRIVELETTER>:\<FOLDERNAME>\<FOLDERNAME>" like "C:\Program Files\EVE" Now delete ":" make, everything lowercase replace " " and "\" with "_" to make it look like "<DRIVELETTER>_<FOLDERNAME>_<FOLDERNAME>" or "c_program_files_eve" then add the server on the end; tranquility, multiplicity, singularity Note default is tranquility and you can use the IP. It should now look like "c_program_files_eve_tranquility" or "c_program_files_eve_87.237.38.50" if you were connecting to Singularity using the IP.
Essentially unless you have EVE in two folders that are like "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE" and "C:\Program\Files\CCP\EVE" they should have different configurations. ----- Cause it can't be quoted enough.
