How about that Obama/Biden ticket?
I must say, if I had to pick, I'd take Biden any day over Clinton, haha. I will laugh though if the democrats are so immature over Clinton's loss though that they manage to shoot themselves in the foot this election. That's especially the case since it is going to be pretty hard for the democrats to lose this after 8 years of Bush.

edit: Biden > Clinton > McCain > Obama. I cannot wait for the liberal hand-wringing when Obama loses, it will be hilarious.

Haha, I was eagerly waiting to hear who he would pick and then I finally found out on the Eve forums .
I have to confess that I was a Hillary supporter, and I was really hoping he would pick her as running mate - I mean come on, a black man/woman ticket? That would be just so amazing.
But if any Democrats actually hold this against him and don't vote, they're just fools. And I agree with you, the Democrats would have a pretty tough time losing this year, no matter who he picked as a running mate. (Poor McCain, he actually seems like a pretty good guy, and I would have been perfectly comfortable seeing him in office). But he doesn't stand a chance after 8 years of Bush . It's honestly just a win-win situation this year for the Americans imo. We'll end up being the better for it, no matter which one wins.
As for Biden, I know barely anything about him, I've just heard his name on NPR quite a bit. I've been reading his wiki and he seems like an okay guy.
Don't even get me started on the American's unwillingness to pick a female presidential candidate .

Because it works? The U.S. population has been in love with JFK and everything he stood for ever since the sixties. They were even willing to ignore his extra-marital affair with Marilyn Monroe, which is more than they were willing to do for Clinton.

well its pretty simple. the average male at the time of JFK would have given his right arm to do what JFK did.
now if Clinton had got Julia Roberts or something that didn't make him look anything other than Desperate.

Not to start a flame war, but honestly, I don't think that Obama is going to do nearly as well as many of you seem to think.
This is an "out" year for Republicans. W as been in office for 8 years, so according to the conventional political wisdom, this should be a good year for the Democrats, and they should be polling well.
Now, if all you listen to is ABC/NBC/CBS/MSNBC/CNN or if you are not in America, BBC/AP/Reuters/etc, then you might think that Obama is not merely running away with the election, but that most Americans are ready to crown him emperor and that the Vatican was ready to cannonize him.
However, when one looks at most of the major polls, you see that not only is Obama running statistically neck and neck with McCain, but in one Zogby poll, McCain is a solid 5 points up among registered voters! In an out year for Republicans, this is a near statistical impossibility. McCain SHOULD be polling at least 5 points behind, possibly as much as 10 to 15 points behind or more. IN NO WAY should he be dead-even, let alone UP on Obama!
Yet, here we have the strange situation where a democratic candidate, practically ANOINTED by the press, is slowly falling behind in all the major public opinion polls. This horse race is FAR from over, and i have a sneaking suspicion that we here on OOP may very well be talking about President McCain by this time next year.
