It is with no small amount of pride NSN turns the page of its fifth year in existence, even though we donÆt make as much noise as we used to, we can still show up at your house, drunk and disorderly oozing with the scent of exotic dancers and hybrid ammunition when you least expect it!
The last 12 months we have had some ups and downs, highlight was of course joining TRI v1.5 (yes, v1.5, as v1.0 had already fought their way to Deklein) and fighting to expand or rather getting more space while picking a fight with anyone willing.
We had an excellent time, lots of fights, lots of laughs and a fair amount of drinking.
Also FCÆs yelled at us a lot. For either being drunk, talking too much or showing up in a BB on sniper BS op (and rubbing against Angel's Apocalypse).
Or was it all three? Cant really rememberà Anyway as overall experience it was awesome, just seeing 110+ capitals jump in makes up for a lot!
Much love to the TRI of old and TRI v2.0 and the people in it, nice going so far!
Downsides must include the hasty fall of the old TRI, it deserved a better end but sometimes enough unplanned shit hits the fan at the same time. NSN also saw some old contacts drop out for an extended break (me included), RL meets keep most of us together though and thatÆs always good.
But back to the positive stuff, we have gained a lot of new cool members over the last year, a reason that our yearly BBQ set a new record in attendance, almost 40 people so in-game attendance for this fall and winter looks good. Hell, even I might come back once the fishing season is over.
On that note I would also like to extend my personal thanks to all the members in NSN and to those who keep the Corp running, you are all fantastic people some of who I have known for almost as long as NSN has existed. Thanks to a game. Its mind blowing.
Our plan going forward is not set (despite, or maybe because of, us being a bit too drunk at the above meet) but I keep hearing that some options are available or being researched so IÆm sure some of you will meet us soon enough. Drinks are on us as per usual.
As turning five is quite a big deal we think some or all of these items would be a perfect gift from the Empires (read: different parts of CCP Development):
Un-nerfed super powered Black Ops (and if nothing else the ability to carry LOTS more fuel for bridging). A Navy Black Bird (for me!). Ability for nudie bars in ambulation (at least in capsuleer controlled space. It makes perfect sense and you know it!). Some RorqÆs would be nice too. Corp/alliance logos on ships, and last but not least an outpost that looks like our favorite cookie with all the trimmings (it should of course be possible to extract bite sized portions from it).
