lol u fail physics juinor highschool level
mass is fixed for anything, it can never be changed, it is the space in which an object takes up in a given place. Weight is different, it is the effects of things like gravity on said mass, the higher the gravity, the higher the weight, vice/versa etc.
So reducing mass to 0 wld mean we effectively have no ships..I LIKE IT! oh wait..
edit: OHHH sorry my bad, i see your were pointing that out, thoguht ur were saying mass was weight nvm kthxbai poudly annoying fc's since 2007

CCP, please reduce interceptor mass to 90.000 kg. It's a fair value.

Actually that's not true at all. Mass is by no means constant, unless of course you are only comparing things that never move. The faster you travel, the smaller the mass of an object becomes. Sorry to burst your bubble but if you don't agree talk to my buddy Einstien and have him explain his theory of relativity.

Sorry to burst your bubble. Smaller?
First off, let's distinguish relativistic mass from rest mass for a bit. Rest mass is constant, in space or whatever medium you want. As for relativistic mass, for particles of a non-zero rest mass*, their mass gets increased as their speed approaches the speed of light. The effect is de-facto negligible at velocities EvE speeds operate at, and it doesn't exist within your own frame of reference either
*It's a touch different for particles of zero rest mass, and is not really relevant to the discussion. Sig removed, inappropriate link. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] ~Saint |

Imagine that, frames of reference, relevant, in relativistic theory! Outrageous, isn't it?

First off, let's distinguish real life from virtual reality for a bit. Real life is constant, in space or whatever medium you want. As for virtual reality, you just use your imagination and aaaaanything can happen. Outrageous, isn't it?

Just because EVE is a game doesn't mean physics in reality are different. He wasn't saying the game is realistic, or isn't, he was commenting on the other person's description of mass. If you're going to make a smug reply, at least learn to read what you're replying to.

He (or your main, whichever you prefer) was talking about RL, physics and Einstein, in case you failed to comprehend the discussion.
I'm sorry if correcting your main bothers you, but you can't really expect to claim 'omg, constant mass nub, l2read Einstein' and expect people won't shoot it down. Trying to use 'omg, it's a game' afterwards is rather weak.
